Seems like he'd be a decent fit. What's Trump care? He said he doesn't even know what "white supremacy" or "white supremacist" means. How could Trump possibly know that that stuff is bad? It wasn't on Fox or anything.

Sid Bowdidge had received a nameplate and taken up residence this week in the director’s office of the agency’s Office of Technology Transitions, a career DOE employee said, but it was not clear precisely when he started or what his job would be. OTT specializes in shepherding research developed at the national labs into the private sector, an area in which Bowdidge didn't seem to have any experience.

Before joining DOE, Bowdidge worked for the Trump campaign, according to Federal Election Commission records. An August 2015 NBC News report quoted Bowdidge attending a debate watch party in Trump’s New Hampshire campaign office, describing him as a “massage therapist from Bedford.”

I doubt very much they did any vetting on anyone. Clearly this was a political pay back; somebody with huge $$$ bought himself some favors and named this guy.

I'm surprised he even has the position, frankly, sounds too "leftie"...


Bets on Trump didn't even know there was an external affairs portfolio and it he did probably thought it had to do with outdoor sex

I consider CNN the leader in today's racial protocol, failure to adhere to it makes national news. I can understand Higbie's frustration, but unfortunately he's the victim of media manipulation. Recall in the article when he mentions gays marching down the street, throwing their gayness in his face. When CNN throws "race in our face" constantly, it generally does one of two things: generate sympathy for the demographic groups mentioned, or the opposite - people get frustrated enough to lash out. Those lashing out, such as Higbie, offer yet another opportunity for CNN to throw race in our face, and for CNN to further profit.

Admittedly, I was like Higbie a few years ago. The mainstream press would make me mad- thinking about how CNN was upholding bad behavior as good, for the sole reason that it was being practiced by blacks. It took years, but I finally realized what was going on. CNN was lowering the acceptable behavior threshold for blacks, so judging them became yet another avenue to be called a racist for CNN's political profit.

CNN controls the definition of who is and who is not a racist. According to them, you're not a racist if you don't say mean things about blacks. Don't mention the high crime rate, dropout rates, etc. The saving grace, and what should have prevented Higbie from wasting his time reacting to the useless media, is that in reality, we are allowed to judge blacks as if they were white people.

How is this done? Simple. Whites can choose not to live in Baltimore or Detroit, and instead opt for areas that meet their standards of behavior (which happen to be whiter). So it's perfectly ok to leave blacks to rot in inner cities, just don't ever say why.

It amazes me that this whole race thing is all about what not to say. It has nothing to do with actual respect.

Sorry I never watched CNN but I know what racism and bias is and you are a prime example of that.

Correct. It was his own weakness - falling for the press narrative, he believes that blacks aren't held responsible for bad actions because of racism and slavery. It's much harder to verbally condemn a black for shooting up his neighborhood than it is a white for doing the same thing. He views this as unfair. In a sense, he is right - we can not verbally condemn bad behavior when it's a black person who's doing it.
