Mueller III, to testify before a grand jury as part of the investigation into possible links between Mr. Trump’s associates and Russia, according to a person with direct knowledge of the matter.

That's funny...isn't bannon supposed to be a racist and a liar? Funny how when Bannon got fired and started going after Trump because of being butthurt all the Trump haters are taking him at his word now a days.
 
Do they let witnesses have potty breaks during these marathon 10-hour hearings? I myself would be renal shutdown mode if they didn't. Either that or wetting my pants. But come to think of it, Bannon may wet his pants anyway,

No one's disputing that he's a racist and liar. Now, however, he'll be under oath. No one is simply taking him at his word. Nothing 'funny' about that.
 
Legal question, will any of his testimony ever be a matter of public record? Or must we, like the dwellers of Plato's Cave, forever guess at the content of the testimony by whether or not there are indictments?

This. And lying under oath to Mueller is probably a somewhat different thing than lying under oath to a panel led by Republican Congressmen.

Mr. Mueller's wife is a nephrologist, so of course witnesses get bio breaks.

I see lots of liberal wishful thinking, and speculation in that article, very light on factual reporting...So, while I don't know what path Bannon will take with Muller's team, nor do we know what the intention of the subpoena is in this case, I have no doubt that the political SC will press forward.

If he can't make collusion, then go after Obstruction. If he can't make Obstruction, then go after process crime and indict those around the President to weaken his Presidency...Just like in so many SC cases, their 'investigations' seem to go off far a field when they can't make their original charge.

I guess this is the standard response now. "Funny you guys take him at his word now when you insisted he was a liar before".

Funny how the opinion of the left on members of Trumps administration didn't matter until they were called in for questioning and it improved your position. Trump supporters have been doing this every time a previous insider says something bad about Trump, often paired with the obligatory "He was just the guy who made the coffee".

Bannon is a liar and now has to answer pointed questions under oath. They will independently confirm or debunk all the statements they can. I look forward to the results. I suspect they won't be good for the POTUS, but who's to say?

Whatever you have to tell yourself. Being under oath does change things, but you're welcome to pretend otherwise. Who really should be sweating about his testimony are the Mercers.

It is Mueller that would present charges before Congress and/or a Grand Jury, so yes he can be the flame that burns down the house of Donald. So like it or not, it will come down to him whether or not charges are filed, and if he does you can bet your soul that he will have everything in order and nothing would save trump at that point. 2018 is going to be very a interesting year.

Muller investigator on day 1 - 'Mr Bannon, on Oct. 12th 2016, what time did you enter Mr. Trump's office at Trump Tower in NYC?'

Bannon - "10 a.m."

Muller investigator one month later - 'Mr Bannon, Mr. Trump held a meeting with you and the principles of the campaign in Trump Tower on Oct 12th, 2016, at 10:45 am. is that right?"

Bannon - 'Yes I think so'

Muller investigator - "What time did you come in for that meeting?"

Bannon - " Um, I think it was right before."

Muller investigator - 'Mr Bannon, you said before that you went in at 10 am. We know the meeting didn't start until 10:45am, and now you say you went in 'right before'....Were you lying then or now?


BOOM - Process charge - Lying to the FBI - que the MSM to initiate speculation that Bannon lied about Russian collusion....:doh

oh kal, you're doing that thing all conservatives (and conservative like posters) do and post what you wish was true. I don't know if anybody on the left takes bannon at his word. Just like the omarosa threads I saw both sides criticizing her (after she got fired). Like those threads, I saw people on the left mocking trump's claim he only hires the best.

I think what's happening is that you obediently liked bannon, then obediently disliked bannon and then obediently liked him again and just assume democrats are the equal but opposite of conservatives (and conservative like posters). and fyi, just because bannon is a vile cretin of biblical proportions doesn't mean he cant provide information. I'm just sure they'll handle it with lead lined gloves.
