Ohio Teacher Put on Leave After Lynching Remark to Black Student

This has become more than just a trend, it's become a rabid obsession for many. While I find it fascinating, I also find it very sad and indicative of a "lemming" mindset.

Not everyone; here's what MLK's niece has to say about President Trump;

“I do not believe President Donald John Trump is a racist. The economy’s up. Jobs are up in the black community. There is great promise to get a lot of people who have been unfairly incarcerated out,” Alveda King told “Fox and Friends” on Monday, the federal holiday honoring her uncle.
"The president is working for America, period, as he is draining the swamp. And African-Americans are benefiting. Our jobs are going up. Our unemployment is going down. Companies are saying they are going to raise their own minimum wage and do bonuses because of the tax cuts. So, the president is helping the African-American community. And I don't believe President Donald John Trump is a racist,” she said."

Alveda King defends Trump against racism accusations: Black Americans are benefiting from his presidency

MLK's nephew says the same thing. He really7 pissed of MSNBC's Don Lemon when he said it during an interview. Lemon was so totally expecting King's nephew to rip into Trump....but he defended the president.

Children misbehave every day in every school. Do you feel that gives the right for their teachers to throw out bigoted or racists comments towards them.

Of course you do.

I bet you blame rape victims also.

Seeing as rape has no standing in this conversation, your sheer desperation has been noted.

However I am all for holding someone responsible for their own actions, like all human beings should be. Or should we coddle and tend to this student in such a way, that they basically become another member of this already abysmal generation?

Hilarious. Donald Trump makes racist and bigoted comments against Mexicans and Muslims and this person's argument is about unemployment going down. First of all unemployment was already going down before Trump was in and this has nothing to with what he said. Where does Alveda challenge any of Trump's remarks? You can do better than this. Alveda is an idiot.

A teacher should know better.

But, pardon me if I don't get my panties in a wad over this.

Last week, an 8th grade black female student, told my guitarist's wife, (the teacher,) that "She ain't got to do what no white bitch tells her." No add insult to injury, when the child's mother was brought in for a conference, she called the teacher a "white bitch" too.

So.........

Wah, wah, wah........

They must lead a hell of a family life.

No you are not. You are projecting the responsibility of the racist remarks by the teacher on the student. No one said students should not be disciplined or have guidance. Whatever method that certain teacher applies is their responsibility.

What the 8th grade student said was racist and wrong. Let's put things in perspective. Your analogy was an 8th grade student while the OP piece is about an adult history teacher. Who should be more accountable?

Well, in the perfect formula, the teacher, the student and the parents should be held accountable for their own particular contributions to said formula.

But, if the parents and students aren't held accountable for their actions, pardon me if I don't get too upset for not expecting the teacher to being held any more accountable than any other players.

Parents need to step up. We are putting too much on today's teachers. They can't be expected to carry the entire load.

Too many people want to declare war on teachers.

I think they should get a raise.

I was once a teacher myself and I do believe they deserve a raise. But the teacher's discipline methods were idiotic. We learned back in the 80's not to punish or reward a class based on the merits and behavior of one student. It only sets a tone of animosity towards that student. Also whatever a student does, doesn't mean it gives a teacher a green light to use racist or violent language.

Strange, I would like to know when exactly you became a mind reader.

Seeing as you seem to also lack the ability to read what it is I am posting.

Both of these individuals are to be held responsible for whatever they were doing. The teacher for choosing such poor words for the time and the student for misbehaving in such a way. That it was possibly a detriment to the other students in their group.

Cut & dry.
