Looks like the "I'll release my tax returns" bait and switch all over again.

Trump dodges on prospect of a Mueller interview: 'We'll see what happens'

President Donald Trump refused for the second time in the last week to say whether he would be willing to be interviewed by the investigative team led by special counsel Robert Mueller. "We'll see what happens," Trump said Wednesday while taking questions alongside Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg.

Pressed again, Trump crossed his arms and said: "When they have no collusion and nobody has found any collusion at any level, it seems unlikely that you'd even have an interview." Trump said in June that he was "100%" willing to testify under oath about his conversations with James Comey, the FBI director he fired.

John Gotti willingly talked to Mueller. It got him lots of prison time. LOL.

I'm pretty sure Mueller has trumps tax records so I wouldn't be surprised if he gets his interview too.

I agree. If Mueller has the Trump tax records, that could be the best insurance policy against his firing.

Seems mighty odd that someone who has absolutely nothing to hide is hiding from the Special Counsel.

He knows as we all do that Mueller will NOT be asking about Russian collusion. The supposed reason for his being hired.

Guess he's got something to hide, what a surprise.

There's not one single person on the entire planet who is surprised that Donald Trump is going back on his supposed willingness to testify under oath. I mean seriously, even his biggest supporters knew that was horse**** from the second he said it.

It's likely he would ask Trump any questions regarding any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump, any matters that arise or may arise directly from the investigation, or any other matters within that scope.

(a) Robert S. Mueller III is appointed t() serve as Specia] Counsel for the United States
Department of Justice.
(b) The Special Counsel is authorized to conduct the investigation confinned by then-FBI
Director James 8. Corney in testimony before the House Permanent Select Committee on
Intelligence on March 20, 2017, including:
(i) any links and/or coordination bet ween the Russian government and individuals
associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump; and

(ii) any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation; and
(iii) any other matters within the scope of 28 C.F.R. § 600.4(a).
(c) If the Special Counsel believes it is necessary and appropriate, the Special Counsel is
authorized to prosecute federal crimes arising from the investigation of these matters.
(d) Sections 600.4 through 600. l 0 of Title 28 of the Code of Federal Regulations are
applicable to the Special Counsel.

Of course it's "We'll see what happens." Trump is in the superior position here.

Congress is likely going to call for a special prosecutor to investigate the FBI's actions to prevent Trump from winning the election and, after he won anyway, to get this bogus Trump/Russia investigation going. All Trump has to do is delay and wait...and it'll be over.

Mueller will go home. His job ended.

FBIs actions to prevent Trump from winning :lamo

Oh jesus these people just eat that propaganda up. Man the right-wing is good at this.

Admit it. You actually have a life size statue of Dear Glorious Leader in your home surrounded by candles you pray to every night and kiss his feet before you ...tuck in.

Trump has precious little power to do anything but be subpoenaed before the Grand Jury and testify just as Clinton was forced to do. That reality is closer to impotence than superiority.

Sort of beats being an Obama leghumper wouldn't you say?

Part of me wants to think you're joking, but it's too consistent with everything else you've said in the past.

According to you:
https://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/01/us/politics/fbi-russia-election-donald-trump.html
Law enforcement officials say that none of the investigations so far have found any conclusive or direct link between Mr. Trump and the Russian government. And even the hacking into Democratic emails, F.B.I. and intelligence officials now believe, was aimed at disrupting the presidential election rather than electing Mr. Trump. Hillary Clinton’s supporters, angry over what they regard as a lack of scrutiny of Mr. Trump by law enforcement officials, pushed for these investigations. In recent days they have also demanded that James B. Comey, the director of the F.B.I., discuss them publicly, as he did last week when he announced that a new batch of emails possibly connected to Mrs. Clinton had been discovered.

demonstrates that the FBI took actions to prevent Trump from winning the election.

Just as I said, he will not be asking about Russian collusion between him or his staff.

Trump is talking to his lawyers....he will testify if he is allowed to use alternative facts and truthful hyperbole...otherwise no deal.

Trump is crazy if he thinks he can survive a Mueller interview.

He might consider not going, forcing a showdown between Mueller and the GOP Congress. Mueller can't physically make him go, even by subpoena. Trump will make a political calculation as to which has greater political risk, going or not?

But I suppose he could go, lie his ass off, then lie to the public about whatever gets leaked or eventually released. As long as the GOP Congress is still in Trump's pocket, Mueller can't touch him. Nobody can.

You know I don't agree with your statement here, concern the legitimacy of the now two concurrent investigations.

But I think your premise is correct, in that the GOP & Trump will try to play-it-off as you state.

I would be very surprised if Mueller hasn't had the tax returns for months. Its the first step in figuring out the Trump financial empire including his entanglements with others.

I think you left these behind.....

Whoops, sorry they appear to have been dropped...

...now, to those of us that wear clear glasses, this investigation has a ways to go....

I there was anything wrong on his taxes the Obama scumbags would have leaked it before the election.
