Neo-Nazi charged with terrorism in attempt to wreck Amtrak train, complaint says - CNN

A white man who was involved with neo-Nazi groups and who attended a "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville has been charged with terrorism for attempting to wreck an Amtrak train, according to a criminal complaint filed in US District Court.

He allegedly played with the controls and applied the emergency brakes, causing the train to stop with intent to harm those aboard, the complaint states. Wilson, who had a fully loaded weapon on him, was charged with use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony and felony criminal mischief, both state charges.

A search warrant for his cell phone showed that he had a banner with the annotation "'Hands up don't shoot' is Anti-white fake news -- Altright'" over an unknown highway, the complaint states.

Later, the FBI interviewed Wilson's cousin and roommate, who said Wilson had joined an "alt-right" group that Wilson had found researching white supremacy forums online, the complaint states.

Sounds like a real nice guy!

Send his ass to Gitmo waterboard him untill he gives up the names of other terrorists in his cell or as Trump suggest go after his family until we get the needed information to prevent future terrorist attacks.

But wait! Where's the major press release from the Trump administration about out-of-control terrorism????

Oh, wait, it's a white supremacist - they're "nice people" according to Trump so there's no need to even tweet about it....

Citation, please.

As for the domestic terrorist getting charged. Good.

You really didn't pay attention to his second reaction to Charlottesville, did you?

But then, you DID just glowingly refer to Trump as being "in command", "honest", and "and example of public leadership".

Sounds like a loony-tunes loser.
Pretty watered-down terrorism.

Watered Down? The kid tried to disrupt a logistical piece of infrastructure used to ship goods across the nation. Not verry watered down IMO. Taking a gun into work, an office party, or nightclub to cause a little terror. Now those plots seemed watered down.

I saw what I saw on the news, and what sticks in my mind was 'both sides are at fault' (for the violence).
Takes to two to fight, so fair enough.

Yes, he did bobble, and then corrected.

Lock him up in a SuperMax where you spend 23 hours/day in your cell & you can see only sky out your little window.

Yeah, but it says he wandered into a 'secure area', probably a control room, 'played with the controls', and applied the emergency brakes. To me, based only on that, it sounds like it was just him doing what any childish nutbar would do who suddenly found himself somewhere he shouldn't be.
'Terrorism'? I don't know- to me that word is all about intent. And I doubt there's any 'plot' involved.
Based on this report.

From the article:

CNN said:
Wilson also went through drastic mood swings and "would start saying crazy things about going to the moon," one conductor said.

Honestly sounds like a guy who lost it.

Yep, your "corrupt" FBI at work once again.... maybe he really is a nice guy, but the "corrupt" FBI, which was biased against terrorism, framed him.

Can't be trusting the FBI to deliver the truth now, can we?

Note: This was, of course, a tongue in cheek comment. But the Cons among us that want to perpetuate the con job they are getting from FOX are doing this country and their fellow citizens a grave disservice by degrading the very people that are working passionately to keep us safe. Those people (the Cons that do this sort of thing) should be ashamed of themselves.

At the risk of sounding like a neocon, it seems that the newest strain of Republicans want to dismantle some of our fundamental methods of catching terrorists. If we continue down that course, it isn't going to end well.
