I read a report about this law action no more than 10 minutes ago. I'm very please this action is occurring. Not because Manafort deserves better than he's getting or any of the usual political reasons favoring him or not, but because these investigations, from both sides of the political aisle, are unrestricted witch hunts, a deflection and distraction from real governance, a waste of taxpayer money, non-productive for the citizens, and a complete waste of time. I'd be thrilled to see them have the brakes applied, and to see them all come to an end.

Manafort is correct. Mueller has gone well beyond the course of action he has been charged to take. I sincerely hope Manafort earns a successful conclusion to his action.

This entire tactic must be buried for the benefit of the nation, the entire nation.

Doing justice correctly, attempting to do justice, is about us. Surely Mannafort can be rung up with dozens of crimes, but so can so many others, because what he did is common, and is rarely/never prosecuted...... it is only because someone is after Trumps scalp that this happened to Mannafort, and that aint justice.

Yes Hawkeye, you were and still are a trump Cheerleader. When the Russia interference came up with references to the Trump campaign, you denied these ever occurred. D Tump, Jared Kushner, Mantafort all denied that they had no contacts, none at all with Russians. You sucked that up.
They stated that hundreds of times, no contacts with Russian, nope, not us, no member of the campaign.

Well as we find out, they lied to you and America, as we have found out they had a substantial number of meetings and contacts with Russian, who are connected to the Russian FSB. But to you, nothing there. Just a with hunt.

Now you call Mueller a Hatchet man. Far from it, a lifelong Republican, served under 2 different Presidents as Director FBI, and now because he has charges laid, that are leading to trumps inner circle, and possibly, I stress possibly, Trump himself, well he is either part of the Deep State, an agenda to remove Trump from the Presidency.

If Trump is removed from Office outside of an election, well the blame lays with Trump, his actions and no one to blame but himself.

Gaining our day in court when we believe the justice system has treated us unjustly is not desperation, it is one of our most basic rights. There is no shame or anything else wrong with seeking justice, this is what the better men do.

It is just how far will the court allow him to go.

If he the state department cpgave him clearance in 2014 then nothin he did was illegal for 2016.

The Starr investigation was launched to implicate the Clintons in a failed land deal. The investigation took 4 years and cost millions of dollars. Clinton was finally impeached for lying about sex. I'd say sex is pretty for outside the scope of real estate dealings.

Based on your logic everyone convicted or impeached in the course of Starr's independent counsel tenure should sue Starr!

Just so we are clear here, one of the indictments was for money laundering and tax evasion. Who exactly gets a free pass on those crimes because I want one if the standard is we don't prosecute people for that any longer. I'd rather not report my income or pay taxes, so how do I get this special pass? Do I just have to be important enough to have offshore accounts through which I can launder the money, and then laws don't apply to me anymore?

That sounds kind of like something a banana republic would endorse and I thought you stood for something better for the U.S.

Why is a "good" America obligated to turn a blind eye to tax evasion and money laundering? Sounds to me like a corrupt America where the rules don't apply to some but if you or me evade taxes, we get the book thrown at us. What kind of BS system is that?

You're essentially arguing that Manafort should get a free pass for his crimes based on a technicality discovered by his $1,000 an hour lawyers.... MAGA!!!
