I'm all for people facing the consequences of their actions. That includes leaking classified information, puting such information on a private server, having it on your personal laptop and forwarding it to your pervert husband, improper meeting with AG on tarmac, etc, etc...

Fletch, your strawman argument is that I believe him about this too! I'm simply saying that this just highlights what a terrible judge of character our president is whether Bannon is lying or not.

Why can't you learn to debate what you read instead of what you think you've read?

You're moving the goalposts. Go back to your original statement. Also, Bannon's statement in no way excludes possible money laundering of Trump.

For my part, I've thought it more likely that this will all be about money laundering for quite a long time, now.

Hey buddy, it's you who is purposely avoiding the fact that these aren't kids but active members of the WH. Nobody is going after them, they're deeply implicated in communications with Russians, they're promoting their brands while working for the WH, nobody picked them out of the family tree and decided they would be criticized. The only one I feel bad for in all of this is Barron, that kid never even had a chance to be corrupt or fix the Middle East all by himself.

He won so it seems he did a relatively good job of picking his campaign staff. Bannon apparently now has an act to grind which suddenly make him believable to the Bannon-is-a-Neo-Nazi crowd.

This may be why Trump appointed and surrounded himself with family members. Funny enough, nepotism is what dictators have historically practiced. They also attack the free press. Just an observation.

Well, first, Trump has always worked with family, it was how he was raised. Second, you seem to ignore the long and storied history of political feuds with the press. Sometimes the press was the hero, and other times not so much. Either way it comes down to the substance of the critique on both sides. If the Mueller investigation comes up empty then the presses years of publishing leaked unroved rumors from it will not make them the hero. Anyway, your argument an association fallacy in teh same family as "Reductio ad Hitlerum".

Bannon is just being what everybody else already knew. Ignorantly lashing about is complimentary of his type. Wasn't he arbitrarily making fun of Trump's wife recently too?

They simply give him credit now because he is saying what they want to hear. The only thing I give Bannon credit for is running a batter campaign than Hillary Clinton, but that is damning with faint praise.

“You realize where this is going,” Bannon said in the book. “This is all about money laundering. Mueller chose Weissmann first and he is a money-laundering guy. Their path to ****ing Trump goes right through Paul Manafort, Don Jr and Jared Kushner … It’s as plain as a hair on your face.”

“They’re going to crack Don Junior like an egg on national TV,” Bannon said, referring to the president's son, Donald Trump Jr.

The former White House chief strategist also spoke about the 2016 meeting between Trump Jr. and a group of Russians, describing it as “treasonous.”

And Bannon in “Fire and Fury” mentioned the connections between Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and loans taken out from the German bank Deutsche Bank that have come under scrutiny in relation to the investigation.

In December, federal prosecutors subpoenaed Deutsche Bank for records tied to Kushner’s family’s real estate business, Kushner Companies, .

“It goes through Deutsche Bank and all the Kushner ****,” Bannon said of the probe. “The Kushner **** is greasy. They’re going to go right through that. They’re going to roll those two guys up and say play me or trade me.

The bolded part, to which I was responding mentions only 'greasy' dealings by Kushner, not Trump and it is Bannons theory that Mueller is focusing on that as a means to **** Trump over.

Man I remember when the Trumlings loved Bannon and applauded Trump for having the courage to have him on the team. Trump fires Bannon and all of a sudden the herd hates him, he's not to be believed, no way he could know anything because he wasn't a major player in the campaign or administration.

When you are fighting with your girl and the cops pull you over and she tells them where your weed is at. Yeah, it's kinda like that I think. Ha! :)

You're moving the goalposts because your original assertion is that Bannon doesn't even make mention of Trump, which is objectively false. And again, Bannon in no way excludes possible money laundering by trump.

But hey, if you want to hold on to the fantasy that trump is surrounded by an atmosphere of money laundering and is magically free of it himself, you go ahead and believe that. History will wrap that particular mystery up relatively soon.

Yes, but as I said, a coherent pattern is forming in what he says in private and what he does in public. He's painting a picture that is more structured and consistent than what most of us are used to.

Lol, so angry because you missed your mark, like an arrow with cheap Chinese made fletches. Bannon is saying what most already knew, and the Brietbart base doesn't want to admit: That he doesn't like Kushner; cause well, Jew. That he thinks Ivanka is a puff; which she is. Oh, and that Don Jr wouldn't last 2 minutes under Mueller's scrutiny; which he wouldn't. Just look at Flynn and that guy had experience with interrogators.

Anyways, now that we know what he thinks of Trump's 'children' - or - current members of the administration. It all just shows what kind of people the president surrounds himself with and what kind of people made his victory possible. Bannon is and has been one of the most prominent defenders of anything alt-right. That the president let the guy have a principal role in his campaign shows a total lack of character judgement.

Its like Trump does not even vet these folks. Those judicial appointments of Trumps that got thrown back for not being qualified, WTF that was messed up and speaks volumes about Trumps poor judgement in picking the right folks for the right jobs. Too many clowns in the car.

It's not about collusion. Mueller was told by the A-G's office to investigate Russian interference in the election.
What do you think? Is there a reson the Attorney-General might want that investigated?
