Trump Tower meeting with Russians 'treasonous', Bannon says in explosive book [W:124]

LOL, very selective memory you have when Bannon was in the Administration, now he is the radical left darling. One of these days you are going to really find out what is truly important and it isn't Bannon and his claims. Anyone that confuses the radical left is accused of watching Fox News which I haven't done since my wife died 5 years ago today. your liberal bs is getting old as is your inability to address actual data thus facts

Bannon's no one's darling. Just because you want to repeat the fox and friends lie more than once doesn't make it more true. You do that a lot it seems. Like a said before...

Trump is a PoS. Bannon is a PoS. And this is all a **** show and the left is simply grabbing the popcorn and laughing at this slapstick clown car motion picture.

Prove that I watch Fox and Friends? What a bunch of bull****, your hatred for Trump is blinding you to the reality of the radical left. I do feel sorry for people like you.

It's not hard. You just watch yourself repeat what they say. And you did. Also note your lack of denial. Done and done.

Still not denying I see. Your messiah watches it... therefore you do to. And I know what they said on that show because it was brought to this thread by someone else.

Sorry I hurt your feelings by knowing you well enough to tell you what you do. And no... you never want to debate. You throw more personal attacks than most anyone on this forum per post. Deal with it glass house guy.

Trump Tower meeting with Russians 'treasonous', Bannon says in explosive book

Sorry to burst your bubble but that book has already been proven to be mostly lies. Not that you care though, whether its fantasy Russian collusion or this book, you people live in a world of lies. This book was written just to fleece ignorant low information voters like you. Enjoy.

Exactly what I expected from the left who doesn't like to be challenged. If I throw out attacks it is done with actual verifiable and accurate data but that isn't of interest to you as feelings are more important than actual results. You hate Trump, got it, keep it up and keep losing elections

Suuurrrree... I never said it was all true. But as time goes by we'll see. Especially if Wolff can produce tapes. And the last thing any trumpette should try to project on any one else anywhere is about living in a world of lies. Your chief can't stop lying. No prez has ever lied as much as your boy.

Re: Trump Tower meeting with Russians 'treasonous', Bannon says in explosive book

It's a single source and Wolff is clearly sensationalizing a bit. The claims are so salacious, it's hard to believe that they should be ignored.

I am not saying, I am going to ignore them. Believing them however, is an entirely different matter.

The post could make it sound as if Putin had nothing to do with the 2016 election of the Potus. There must surely be a word in Russian for BS.

Y'know of course Sergey Brin the Russian American co-founder of Google was one among many at the San Francisco Airport during anti Trump demonstrations there because, as he said, "I am a refugee." The Russian chessmaster and emmigre' to USA Gary Kasperov speaks readily about the Putin-Trump connection....

Russian chess master Gary Kasparov provided some startling insights into Russian President Vladimir Putin’s covert effort to support Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. Kasparov says he’s “absolutely” certain Putin is interfering in the election.

Kasparov told CNN’s Jake Tapper, Friday (Oct. 21, 2016) that the Russian government likely has Trump campaign emails as well that are equally embarrassing. But so far it has refrained from releasing them. “I don’t believe for a second that Trump was clean,” he said. “More likely, they had plenty but they decided to use it privately to good effect, whether we are talking about debts or blackmail.”

Trump’s talking down of American democracy and constant complaints about a “rigged election” also play into Putin’s hands, according to Kasparov. “Putin probably has an even bigger goal to seed doubts in America and the world about the integrity of U.S. elections,” he said. “By doing so, he could have the biggest geopolitical victory that KBG colonel could ever dream of, because, if American elections are rigged, who cares about elections in Russia."

Russian Chess Master Checkmates Trump on Putin Connection (video)

BYW we might keep in mind that Putin never played chess against anyone he couldn't put in jail. Or have shot. Or poisoned. Polonium Putin.

We've become acquainted with the Russian word kompromat meaning compromised as in have the goods on, which many of us suspect between Putin and Trump. My Russian is non existent but one of my parents could translate reasonably statements made on television by the various Soviet leaders visiting the USA.

Putin controls the Russian parliament, the Dupa (Dupka?), at all times, whereas in USA we over here have the separation of the branches so that under the two party system American voters can vote the opposition into Congress, and under their own leaders. That would be a huge setback for Putin-Trump and The Fanboyz. American voters know this.

So next time youse guyz from over there claim or pretend there was no interference I'm likely to suggest youse might want to sit in the non-consuming section of the Putin-Trump grandstand.

Yeah, I think I'm done with this game. You've gotten boring and you keep saying nearly the exact same thing almost all the damn time.

I don't think I have ever seen someone say so much and still end up saying exactly nothing at the same. There are only a few other posters on this site that I could lop you into a group with and frankly all of you are as fascinating as a flat rock.

Nyet.

Do kindly pardon my non-existent Russian. Your English btw is formulaic. This had just begun to get interesting too. I anyway look forward to reading your posts to others as I come across 'em thx.

Some claims are more believable than others.

Some claims are more believable than others.

Which is why one must urge themselves to go out and learn, its a factual imperative of life.

Re: Trump Tower meeting with Russians 'treasonous', Bannon says in explosive book

New York Times:
Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election fits into a nearly two-decade pattern of meddling with governments around the world, and the United States’ response to its brazen attack is being hindered by President Trump, a new report prepared by Senate Democrats concludes.

“The report, which is to be released on Wednesday, is one of the most extensive to date on foreign interference by Russia and President Vladimir Putin. It tracks Russian efforts in 19 countries, chronicling misinformation campaigns, the funding of far-right political causes and the manipulation of energy supplies long before 2016 in an attempt to glean lessons for American officials considering how to counteract similar efforts here.”

Two decades? LOL!! More like over eleven decades, and the Democrat lowlifes loved every minute of it. The only reason they care now is because Crooked Hillary lost. In fact, the ONLY thing they care about is that Crooked Hillary lost. Democrats really don't give a damn about the Russians.

Oh wow...I gotta have a drink.
By the way, did you know that somewhere around 1991, the USSR ceased to exist, and that Russia is not a Communist country anymore?

Just checking to see if you're aware of current events, and to find out how many other Right wing revisionist tropes you buy into. Was Hitler a liberal?

Yep. They are socialists at heart after all. The soviets fueled the anti-war movements and the Dems loved it.

More recently, Ted Kennedy, trying to stop Reagan from being president, was sending memos and communiques to the president of the Soviet Union, the chairman of the Communist Party (Yuri Andropov at the time) asking him to be patient and don’t overreact to Reagan, that Reagan doesn’t know what he’s doing. He’s a cowboy. Work with us, Kennedy said, and with your help, we can get rid of Reagan in 1984. Ted Kennedy actually sought the assistance of the Soviet Union in 1984 in defeating Ronald Reagan in the election. It’s in the KGB files that were released eventually. Ted Kennedy was asking for Yuri Andropov’s assistance in the form of interference in the presidential election of 1984. The memo said, “The only real potential threats to Reagan are problems of war and peace and Soviet-American relations. These issues, according to the senator, will without a doubt become the most important of the election campaign."

The original collusion.

No, it's not just because Hillary lost (with the most votes). It's because it's an attack on our democratic elections -- something every American patriot should be concerned.

Contrarily, the Trump cult is unconcerned because their candidate won. They seem not to care that Trump has been bending over backwards for Russia. He wanted to unilaterally end Russian sanctions -- and the Congress was so alarmed that it took away that power. Trump responded by closing the State Dept. sanctions office. Another Trump appointee floated the idea of showing favor to Putin by removing all U.S. forces near the Russian border. Anyone who doesn't see that Trump is on-the-hook to Putin is dreaming.

The fact that Trump denies any Russian interference and further is doing nothing to prevent it in the future, is a serious risk to future elections.

Ted Kennedy Secretly Asked The Soviets To Intervene In The 1984 Elections
Ted Kennedy Secretly Asked The Soviets To Intervene In 1984 Elections

Earlier this week, 47 Republican senators published an open letter informing the leaders of Iran that any nuclear deal with the United States that failed to be approved by the Senate would likely expire in 2017, once President Barack Obama’s term ended. You can read the full letter here.

The letter enraged progressives, who immediately began accusing the senators of treason for having the audacity to publish basic constitutional facts about how treaties work. Here is but a small sampling of the response from the outrage brigade

If these progressives want to know what actual treason looks like, they should consult liberal lion Ted Kennedy, who not only allegedly sent secret messages to the Soviets in the midst of the cold war, he also begged them to intervene in a U.S. presidential election in order to unseat President Ronald Reagan. That’s no exaggeration.

According to Soviet documents unearthed in the early 1990’s, Kennedy literally asked the Soviets, avowed enemies of the U.S., to intervene on behalf of the Democratic party in the 1984 elections. Kennedy’s communist communique was so secret that it was not discovered until 1991, eight years after Kennedy had initiated his Soviet gambit:

Picking his way through the Soviet archives that Boris Yeltsin had just thrown open, in 1991 Tim Sebastian, a reporter for the London Times, came across an arresting memorandum. Composed in 1983 by Victor Chebrikov, the top man at the KGB, the memorandum was addressed to Yuri Andropov, the top man in the entire USSR. The subject: Sen. Edward Kennedy.

“On 9-10 May of this year,” the May 14 memorandum explained, “Sen. Edward Kennedy’s close friend and trusted confidant [John] Tunney was in Moscow.” (Tunney was Kennedy’s law school roommate and a former Democratic senator from California.) “The senator charged Tunney to convey the following message, through confidential contacts, to the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Y. Andropov.”

Kennedy’s message was simple. He proposed an unabashed quid pro quo. Kennedy would lend Andropov a hand in dealing with President Reagan. In return, the Soviet leader would lend the Democratic Party a hand in challenging Reagan in the 1984 presidential election. “The only real potential threats to Reagan are problems of war and peace and Soviet-American relations,” the memorandum stated. “These issues, according to the senator, will without a doubt become the most important of the election campaign.”

Kennedy made Andropov a couple of specific offers.

First he offered to visit Moscow. “The main purpose of the meeting, according to the senator, would be to arm Soviet officials with explanations regarding problems of nuclear disarmament so they may be better prepared and more convincing during appearances in the USA.” Kennedy would help the Soviets deal with Reagan by telling them how to brush up their propaganda.

Then he offered to make it possible for Andropov to sit down for a few interviews on American television. “A direct appeal … to the American people will, without a doubt, attract a great deal of attention and interest in the country. … If the proposal is recognized as worthy, then Kennedy and his friends will bring about suitable steps to have representatives of the largest television companies in the USA contact Y.V. Andropov for an invitation to Moscow for the interviews. … The senator underlined the importance that this initiative should be seen as coming from the American side.”

Kennedy would make certain the networks gave Andropov air time–and that they rigged the arrangement to look like honest journalism.

You can read the full KGB memo detailing Kennedy’s secret letter and request for electoral intervention here.

Well GREAT!! You got all that from Ted Kennedy's memo to a guy who lasted in office less than a year and a half. Oh, by the way, the original anti-war movement was bipartisan.
I was there, so don't insult my intelligence. And it doesn't matter that radical socialists managed to infiltrate and take over the anti-war movement as much as it matters that the entire war was built on lies. Are you attempting to defend the Vietnam War? Lotsa luck with that.
You Birchers are amazing.

Now YOU have YOUR wet dream, the US working together WITH the Imperial Russian Empire to install authoritarian fascist theocracy!
You should be proud of yourself.

But please, don't EVER pretend that you ever loved democracy, or anything about the original values that the Founding Fathers dreamed of when they made this country.

"When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross."

Re: Trump Tower meeting with Russians 'treasonous', Bannon says in explosive book

Well GREAT!!...........

I know, right? I'm the cat's meow.

.......You got all that from Ted Kennedy's memo..........

Actually the Federalist did: Ted Kennedy Secretly Asked The Soviets To Intervene In 1984 Elections

........."When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross."

You're a little late for that. The Democrats did that in the 1800's and it pretty much pooped out in the late 20th century. Only a moron would think it would make a comeback.

What good is history if you can't re-write it?

I suspect you also have the play book on how to argue that the US "won" in Vietnam and a host of other false paradigms. However no amount of posting national inquirer and shock news.

I was there too. And if you had read "the Port Huron Statement" you would know the "movement" was not a "leftie-hippy lie" but a close as America has ever come to launching a viable third party
