RBG will be carried out on her bench brief but her health is bad. she has had both colon and pancreatic cancer and has appeared dazed and inattentive in recent oral arguments. Breyer isn't exactly spring chicken either though Kennedy is the most likely to leave though he has the second biggest ego on the court and that might prevent that.

    Fair enough.

How about a thread down in the nether world where the loser has to gush praise for the winner's exalted intelligence and superior powers of foresight?

    I'll shake on it.

Senator Orrin G. Hatch of Utah, the longest-serving Senate Republican, announced Tuesday that he will retire at the end of the year, rebuffing personal pleas from President Trump to seek an eighth term and paving the way for Mitt Romney, a critic of Mr. Trumpís, to run for the seat.

This might cause issues for Trump's next pick for the USSC given Hatch's expertise as chair of the Judiciary committee
Yeah I think he's interested. This happened the same day that Orrin announced retirement.

Mitt Romney's Twitter location is updated to Utah as Senate seat opens

So far mum on whether he will make a bid for the Senate from Utah, Mitt Romney's Twitter account on Tuesday was updated to note he calls the Beehive State home.
Romney was already registered to vote in Utah, and the update on Tuesday made it Twitter official.
