In my life I have been a committed Republican, a Libertarian, briefly a Democrat and finally - and forever - an Independent.
We Independents are stuck in the middle. Everyone talking about hanging the opposition! It would seem we cannot win.
You likely are unaware that I vehemently opposed Hillary Clinton as much as I opposed Donald Trump. I have discovered, as a result, that there is an ass load of binary thinkers out there who see the world as for or opposed, good or bad, right or wrong and so forth.
Soon after opposing Hillary I became wise, fearless and patriotic until I also opposed Trump at which time I became unAmerican, stupid, a Communist and a traitor.
I have voted for Republicans, Democrats, Greens, American Independents, Libertarians - just about everything but Peace and Freedom's (who are the Communist Party in America outside the Democrats who have been co-opted by commies).
Want to know why "Red" is associated with Republicans. It is because the media (run by Jewish cultural Marxists) wanted to dissociate the color from their vehicle of communism - the Democratic Party. Red is the color of communism. The media has promoted the "Red/Blue" dichotomy specifically to mislead people.
When I was very young, the Cold War was still active, and the Soviets were the main enemy and the linchpin of the axis of evil, red always meant a radical leftist communist.
I agree that the two party system is flawed - the establishment GOP is no better than the Democrats.
Trump is different (but no panacea, because he won't be allowed to do what is necessary to restore our grand American republic, because the Deep State is opposed ti it). He was the first anti-establishment candidate in over 100 years. That is why he hated - even by elements in the GOP.
He is an American, not a politician.
He is for the people, not the special interests.
Is for equality, not special rights for small minorities.
He is for liberty, not leftist tyranny.
