Therein lies the problem with the Left. You all are convinced of your own superiority and everyone else should accept it and shutup. The US doesn't decide to pay the largest amount. The USA has not carried the UN for anything. It, like every other country is assessed on the same factors. The US pays the largest sum because the US has stolen so much wealth from the world that it is, de facto, the richest country.

Were we still back in the days before the US became a "country", the marauding Brits would be paying the most.
