Papa John's CEO, pizza titan John Schnatter, steps down

He made a dumb mistake he told the truth. and many times telling the truth gets you branded a racist. which is pathetic. However, this guy should have know that making any comments against the "heroic" NFL players who chose to kneel was going to get him into trouble. Any idiot could have told him that. He should read the room a little better. Now to half the country the guy might as well be Hitler's son. Which again, is pathetic. but again, he should have known that and kept his mouth shut. I go back to Michael Jordan's wise motto(when asked why he never got political): "because republicans buy shoes too".

Maybe if your version of the truth could be construed as racist, then yes, you should just shut the **** up, or find a nice Klan meeting to go to.

His job is to sell pizza not tell it like it is. He should have know making those comments would turn the black community and liberal reactionaries against him. Now he's toxic. He might as well be Jared from Subway to those people. I'm sure he wasn't forced out. He just looked at the facts on the ground and realized he had to go for the good of the company. I don't think he's a bad guy he just made a bad business move. that's all.

He was forced out and should have been.
Not the first time his mouth has caused trouble.

Yup; I agree.
I'm still waiting for someone to tell me what he said that was racist.
Apparently nowadays you can call anybody a racist.
