It sounds more like his fake persona was coming to an end and he didn't want to face the music.

He wasn't the "Pope" he imagined himself to be. The other thread on here has a more in depth article about this supposed upstanding guy.
 
I wish everyone thinking about suicide would get help from everywhere and anywhere they can. But I'm also not going to be very bummed out about a child molester committing suicide.

If you had any real compassion, you'd be howling mad that this guy was cornered by this gross #MeToo crap, and killed himself as a result.

Don't be rude. I've posted here for almost 6 years and have always shared my sympathy for the loved ones of people who die, especially those who commit suicide.

You also didn't read the article. The accusation was made against him by the woman in April of 2013. It had nothing to do with #MeToo unless she knew almost 5 years ago that women were going to use that hashtag after the Harvey Weinstein scandal that apparently only she knew about broke.

Save your ignorant posts for someone else.

The woman reported the alleged assault at the time, but police did not pursue charges.

She reported it; and the cops looked away because he was a community leader and an evangelical. Over time he would go on to liken the Obamas to monkeys. This pedophilia accusation came back to haunt him. And he was married with children and grandchildren looking on?

In the end we have yet another religious leader whose life involves sexual and racist scandal. His last act on this earth was to commit a grave sin. Odd he would kill himself over a single accusation though. One might wonder, now that he was a politician in an environment where women are coming forward, what else might he had been ashamed of. And he wanted people to think this was about some 9/11 PTSD? Bull....****.

Apparently he was accused/suspected of arson too. More than once. Including a fire at his own church.
 
Josh Duggar loved God and his wife too, but it didn't stop him from developing an addiction to pornography and cheating on his wife. All of which happened after it came out that he molested his sisters when he and they were all teenagers.

I fully support everyone's right to practice any religion of your choosing, but being religious does not mean you are free of the temptation to sin.

This man appeared to have a lot of serious issues.

Hmmm...ok that does sound fishy.
The political statements he made, I have no problem with. SJWs say equally awful things about their POTUS daily.
It seems gross insults are the way of American society today. More's the pity...

In this case, although its hard to believe this guy did the things he's accused of, without waking his daughter, the events as described in this article are...not very pleasant. Unfortunately though, having read some of the crap posted by some in this forum about people, and the unbridled anger they have for...just about everyone...I find this faux display of concern for the family...gross and hard to swallow.

You're trying to grasp at straws to find some kind of hole. There are plenty of reasons people don't get woken up even when things are happening right next to them.

No charges were ever laid. More than likely because no proof was ever provided.
It was investigated, no charges laid, and revived now. Go figure...

I know none of you SJWs will take this seriously, but as this next couple years move along, remember I said the following:
The is going to be a reckoning for this #MeToo thing. A backlash that may just be as nasty and blindly destructive as this is.
When it happens...and it will...some of you may have the intelligence to ask if maybe y'all went just a little too far with this.
Remember...for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
