It's ‘painfully obvious’ trump will be charged by mueller, says president’s ally roger stone

Fair thought.... again I say let it be known...... The questions then becomes the discussions were not due to collusion to undermine the elections. It was potential political discussion should they reach office. For them to discuss the magnitsky act as a candidate is that a crime? (Sorry really ignorant questions, I am really know nothing, so I am trying to educate myself, so I would appreciate constructive criticism to my ignorance and not get fire blasted LOL)

Anyways.... I assuming we can talk stuff with other people in general, I guess there would be classified info, and or intent to of treason or something like that, was that that? Or where they just talking about it in general? Was it an actual crime?

The "Lifting of Sanctions" had to include some kind of payment or return favor. In that same meeting, there discussions of "dirt" on Hillary Clinton. That would be the collusion.

The "favor" was Wikileaks and social media trolls and that is collusion.

What's even more amazing is the degree to which people have to delude themselves that Pence isn't neck deep in the entire Russia affair. He's never going to become POTUS, despite some peoples' rather laughable self-induced ignorance.

Voluntarily removing the president and the vp would be nullifying the election in a certain sense. Taking such an extraordinary action wouldn't go over well as a Constitutional precedent.

Nor would it be readily accepted by the court of public opinion. People vote for president and vice president with one x on the ballot. Win or lose we don't vote for president and vice president together with one vote so they can both get the gate in one impeachment and conviction, or even in a simultaneous resignation. We didn't always vote for the two together and as a team but we've been doing it that way for a long time.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a double dump or the two of 'em do a quick quit but I wouldn't expect it either. The focus of the investigation is on Trump. Pence and his people are not currently in the parade being hauled in for questioning by Congress or the investigation. Neither are the leaks coming down on Pence. Nothing much to see there so far.

Yup.

Would I be happy about a President Pence? No, absolutely not. I hate literally everything he supports.

However, Pence is at least minimally sane, and isn't going to Twitter-troll us into nuclear war. Pence may not be good for the country, but he's not going to end it either.

That said, I think that if Trump gets taken out, Pence probably isn't going to survive. From all appearances, Pence has basically been used as a fall guy for a lot of their dirty work and most vulnerable lies. I think the reality would be that we would wind up needing to go further down the totem pole.

I suspect if the investigation gets the goods on both of 'em then the long arm of the law may suddenly become longer and stronger to grab 'em both by the collar. By both arms. That would be radical but we live in radical times in many respects.

The line of succession is speaker, president pro tempore of the Senate meaning the most most senior member of the majority party, then secstate, treasury, secdefense and so on through the cabinet. Nothing in the succession authorization says any one of 'em can't say no thanks but I suppose one of 'em could say no thanks, go to the next guy on the list. I think of the old saying that stranger things have happened but they haven't.

The first problem is that Trump never lifted the sanctions.

The second problem is that it needs to be proved, in a court of law using evidence, that Russia had dirt on Clinton, and that they sent it to Trump, and in exchange for lifting the sanctions.

Considering that all the parties deny anything untoward happened, it seems a tall order.

Pence wants federal control over a woman's body, expansive federal spying on private individuals without a warrant, and has absolutely no qualms about bombing brown people overseas as long as it advances the military industrial complex. All this talk about what a "decent human being" Pence is suggest one thing. Folks like you really want a traditional politician to take away your rights and you'll be ok with it as long as they don't do it with a potty mouth. A pox on all your houses.

Pence is not Lola.

Pence is enough of a political animal to recognize that the Alabama disaster named Roy Moore was a personal message from the Lord sent directly to Pence to tone it down.

Pence is still smarting politically from being the governor of Indiana who had to swallow some gay wedding cake. Pence ended up with the cake and he had to eat it too. It's still stuck in his craw. So unlike Moore, Pence knows the Lord's Will on earth comes to him through politics and votes. When the Lord says to Pence to eat it Pence eats it.

It could look now like the Lord put Trump in the White House to tell the crackpots to tone it down. The difference between Trump and Pence is that while Pence obeys the Lord Trump obeys no one. The last guy who did that got cast out. Stone himself is an old fashioned Roy Cohn guy who eats nails in boiling oil for breakfast so his book on The Fall should be entertaining reading.

Jus sayin....

How Roy Moore could signal the end of Trump’s presidency

Republicans pulled off the monumental feat of blowing a Senate race in a state President Donald Trump carried by 28 percentage points 13 months ago.

Alabama’s result shows things are dire for the Republicans heading into next year’s off-year elections. And they deserve it: They let themselves be manipulated into defending former state Supreme Court Chief Justice and Senate nominee Roy Moore, a man whose social stylings include saying America was last great when slavery coincided with close families, and that freeing slaves, letting blacks and women vote, and equal protection of the law are bad ideas.

Fact is the vast majority of Americans are better than Donald Trump. So what if the only way Mike Pence knows this is by counting votes. Pence being numerate is all that matters.

Trump never shot anybody on 5th Avenue either.

No Potus has ever said that and no Potus said his supporters, Fanboyz and loyal lieges would still support him if he did shoot someone -- anyone -- on 5th Avenue. No Potus had ever fired the FBI director either -- which was the tallest order of 'em all.

Nor had any Potus hired as his national security adviser the guy who wuz taking advice from Putin directly and who sitith at the right hand of both Putin and Trump.

Your posts to the thread also indicate that if you were a lawyer you'd have one client only in a specialized family practice with offices in Mar del Lago.

Agreed. That's why it's still being investigated. All the lies put forth by Trump and his connections don't help his case.
