The DOJ has yet to give a reason for demoting this Obama DOJ holdover, but Fox reported last week he had contact with Christopher Steele back in October 2016, right around the time the FBI ( Peter Strok ) received their FISA request to conduct surveillance on the Trump campaign. He also had contact with Glenn Simpson after the election

Now we learn Bruce Ohr's wife worked for Fusion GPS when the FBI ( Peter Strok ) was running the pre-Mueller Russia investigation and using the Steele dossier to obtain a FISA warrant. The dossier has gotten quite toxic all of the sudden, and why wouldn't it be toxic ?

The dossier was just unverified opposition research funded by the Hillary campaign and the DNC, but it was presented to FISA as legitimate intelligence to obtain a FISA warrant which led to the surveillance and unmasking of the Trump campaign
 
Did they confirm that the dossier was the base document for obtaining the FISA warrant? I figured it was but haven't seen it confirmed.

Actually, some of the dossier has been verified...and none of the rest has yet been shown to be false. Of course we can only use the claims that have been verified...but the fact that some of the claims have been verified means that the rest of the dossier can't easily be dismissed out-of-hand as y'all want so desperately to do. That's why the rest of the claims are being investigated.

Thats a talking point and nothing else. These senior Obama era officials are't being demoted and investigated by the IG because the dossier was a legitimate intelligence analysis worthy of the FISA courts consideration. Nope, they're being demoted and investigated because the dossier was always just opposition research funded by the Hillary campaign and the DNC that was the basis of a FBI investigation into a manufactured narrative that involved Russian collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign, it was also used to secure a FISA warrant that led to the surveillance and unmasking of the Trump campaign prior to a Presidential election

Peter Stzrok, who headed up the pre- Mueller Russia inestigation and met with Christopher Steele and Glenn Simpson in July of 2016, was removed from heading up the FBIs counter intelligence division and demoted to human resources and no, it wasn't for texting mean things about Trump to his mistress. Bruce Ohr wasn't demoted for " wearing two hats ", he was demoted because he met with Christopher Steele prior to the election and Glenn Simpson after the election, and now we learn his wife worked for Fusion GPS when the FISA warrant was obtained.

The Hillary Campaign and the DNC conspired with Fusion GPS and the Obama administration to concoct the false narrative of collusion between a foreign Got and the Trump campaign to justify the surveillance and unmasking the opposition candidate and his campaign staff prior to a Presidential election and the people that were involved are slowly being revealed and investigated

Last week, the Judge presiding over Michael Flynns trial, Judge Rudolph Contreras, a Obama appointment, recused himself but no explanation was given as to why. I have a explanation. Judge Rudolph Contreras is one of 11 judges that currently sit on the FISA court, and Judge Contreras was a FISA judge back in 2016 when the FISA warrant used to surveill Trumps campaign staff was granted

I don't think Devin Nunes can confirm that ... yet. 2 days ago in an interview with Fox he said:

“We have had an ongoing investigation into DOJ [Department of Justice] and FBI since mid-summer for both FISA [Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court] abuse and other matters that we can’t get into too much. But it is very concerning.”

But I do believe that he will confirm that the FISA warrant was issued based on an unconfirmed and fake dossier.

CNN reported back in April that the FBI used the dossier to bolster the investigation and obtain a FISA warrant. That is the FBI used unsubstantiated opposition research funded by the Hillary campaign and the DNC to obtain a FISA warrant to spy on and unmask the Political opposition prior to a presidential election and the guy running this investigation was Peter Strzok

There would have been FISA warrants even if there was no dossier. The CIA was tipped off in Summer 2016 when their routine surveillance of Russian agents revealed an inordinate number of Russian contacts with Trump people. It worried them enough to contact the FBI who started an investigation. The dossier came after that revelation and when Steele gave it to the FBI they saw a good reason to check it out given the corroborating information they already had from the CIA. Saying the dossier is somehow pivotal to the existence of the FBI investigation that is now Mueller's does not jive with the facts and does not even prove that the dossier is not factual in every way. Putin was apparently so incensed at the info contained in the dossier that he purged several members of his spy agencies in an apparent attempt to root out the cause of the "leak".

Not to mention you have no idea what the women involvement is with the dossier, just that she works for Fusion is some unknown capacity.

False. GOP was looking for dirt on Trump and stopped paying when Fusion provided nothing, months prior to the DNC paying 100% of the costs related to Steele's dossier work. Good try though.

Your statement that has a problem is "Funded in part by democrats". There was no funding of the dossier in part by Democrats; it was funded 100% by Democrats.

Everything that stemmed from that is tainted. The whole thing is a joke.

if the first part of something is funded by 1 person and then given to another person who funds it instead... you can logically say they shared funding... since one did not pay at the beginning and other didn't pay the end; they both paid for a part of it... your argument is with logic and the english language.

It's just a smokescreen, typical tactic. Same one Obama's administration used when Fast and Furious blew up in their faces.
 
I like how Fenton throws the term "opposition research" around like it's automatically nothing but lies and rumors. GOP tried to use Fusion GPS and got nowhere, Clinton used them and got somewhere. But since it's just "opposition research", which Fenton clearly knows nothing about given the way he spams the term inappropriately, even if it does reveal factual information about Trump, it doesn't count because ummmm it's just "opposition research."

Dumb.
