Ethics Committee clears Nunes of revealing classified material to White House

The complaint is that Nunes went to the press and released classified information. He didn't give any specific names that were included in the documents. The ethics committee found that the information wasn't classified.

I don't think there are any pictures where he doesn't look dopey.

That sounds more correct as I think it is technically impossible to leak classified information to the White House.

I corrected that a little later in the thread (post #9). I was a bit fuzzy on the details until Tres asked me for an explanation about the gist of the whole thing and I did some digging.

The allegation was that Nunes was shown some classified documentation by the White House and Nunes went to the press with it. The information was deemed non classified so the investigation ended and Nunes was cleared. Sorry for the mix up. That happens sometimes.

Anyhow, back to the story. It was a long time ago so maybe I don't remember the details really well, but I honestly don't remember classified material being the issue. I thought it had to do with the way he went to the WH without any other committee member's approval and knowledge and shared information with the Trump people. But I'm blonde and have dry mouth right now so maybe I remembered this story wrong.

I thought it was that as leader of the body investigating Trump/Russia, he improperly coordinated with the White House clandestinely, and then everyone denied it, as he ran cover for Trump with regards to Yates testimony. This assured us that he could not impartially lead that investigation.

That in being so deplorable, he also may have leaked classified info but turns out he didn't, I find irrelevant.

IMHO his acting as Trumps water boy, and was the lead in dooming the House investigation to infighting and dysfunction. Add in he is hot on the trail of Mueller in an attempt to discredit him and or derail the investigation.
As we saw after that the Senate was where it would end up at.
