3 reported dead, 15 injured amid gunfire at New Mexico high school

I asked you to prove it. You failed. Even refused. You lose. Nice to know you can’t support your arguments with facts.

Why bother? Would it change your mind? NO CHANCE

God Bless! It's time for Schools to have security for these situations.

The NRA will push for all children to be able to come to school with semiautomatic rifles so that they can all be safe. Any potential shooters won't stand a chance, right?

Another shooting at a school.
Getting to be a regular occurrence. Sad

Yaaaawwwn... The NRA has succeeded in training the American public in learned helplessness. Now we just see these things, and we have been trained well, like dogs in obedience school, that nothing should be done. We are just to sit there and take it, because.... freedom!

As I mentioned earlier, nothing will change. Thing is guns are not always the problem.

That's one of the most ridiculous comments i've ever read! I hope you're being facetious? NRA doesn't promote bringing guns to School by Children!

Thise are blatant lies.

Produce valid statistics and see. It can be easily shown that the number firearms in a society and the number of murders are not correlated. This is true across United States and across The globe. Your statistics have to rely on misrepresentation of Data. You also ignore the profiles of the people who commit murder. If you produce valid statistics it would be One thing. But you don’t. Just like you can’t explain how registration would solve anything.

It can easily be shown?????.....then show it. And my discussion involves gun deaths

more mental health access could change things

what would you like see changing (we all want to see less deaths and illegal shootings )

For starters, I'd like to see the end to background checks, and do away with the laws that prevent felons from owning fire arms. We need to kill the black market, and if felons could get legal fire arms, why would they need the black market.

Then strict, super strict, gun storage laws. AS in you can go to jail for having an unsecured weapon in the same house as a child. You live alone, by all means leave your guns wherever. YOu got grandkids that come to visit, put em in the safe or do 5 years for child endangerment. Kid gets your gun and shoots itself or another kid, **** you need to do 20-life.

At the point of sale, every gun vendor should have an employee with some sort of training in the mental health field. Like a pharmacist has to be able to spot junkies, Gun Vendors need to be able to spot the guy about shoot up a gay nightclub. Simple enough, they just refuse sale until the person returns with a note from a mental health professional giving the all clear. No rights violated, vendors have the legal right to refuse sale to anyone long as its not race, sexual orientation, religion. etc.

And offer gun safety courses as an elective to seniors in high school.

Do all of these things, and no ones rights will be infringed, and we will see a measurable improvement. But I been saying this for two years, it's not NRA approved fear mongering and hence will not sell more guns, so you'll never be able to acknowledge any kind of merit in it. Gotta keep the unwashed masses afraid, gotta move that product, eh Turtle.

It has already been done. Time and again. I even provided you the list of states by murder. And it is easily seen that the number of gun owners in New York and California will be different and less than Texas or Florida. And since you are the one making the assertion that we should “do something,” I would say burden is on you to show correlation. But you can’t. Like I said. Gun ownership and murders are all over the map.

And you focus on gun deaths because you don’t actually want a solution. This is about votes. Hence your demand for registration. Tell me. How does registration stop murder?

My concern is gun deaths. You do not care about reducing gun deaths. Why do you only want to reduce a fraction of them?

The way to reduce the number of shootings isn't to regulate the sorts of guns that may be kept and born, but to get the guns out of the hands of the criminals, the irresponsible, and the mentally unstable.

and that's a lot more difficult than banning large magazines or flash suppressors.

I agree completely

Because not all gun deaths are good people being killed by guns. Some are justifiable self defense. And I have no issue with someone doing that.

I do have an interest in reducing murder. You don’t. Like I said. You can’t prove how that idiotic notion of registration would do anything. What is hilarious is you claim not to be anti gun, but you are so painfully transparent that you are just anothe incrementalist. Since registration won’t work you will demand more. Like tests and permission from head law enforcement agencies.

Then you should be supporting enforcement of existing law. Especially prosecution of straw purchasers. To the point of giving them 10-20 or more. I would also recommend looking into dealing with the factors that lead up to murder (addiction issues, gang activity, domestic issues)

I do support enforcement of existing law.....when did I ever say I didn't. The Trump and the GOP doesn't. But we can do much much more

You are not required to care about the bloodbath of gun suicides in this country. I will do it for you

The GOP is one of the few groups in America that can always be counted on for pushing for enforcement and stricter punishment of law breakers. What do you think they are? Democrats?

Name a gop run state with low gun deaths. Their plan is not working.

Except for laws that affect their wealthy donors. That's just white collar crime, and doesn't count.

Suicides. Not something that can be fixed by gun control. Yet one more example of the need for research into pets disorders and mental health
.

That would be republican politicians. I’m sure the average republican wouldn’t care if the nation leveled major punishments. Feel free To ask around. I’m on board for a 1 strike felony death penalty for federal politicians.

Yes, of course, Republican politicians, and Democratic politicians as well. The average Republican voter is all for law and order, and thinks his vote will result in more of it.

Wyoming, South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Nebraska, Utah, West Virginia

Was that supposed to be a challenge?
