I doubt most Cons thought Franken was an asset. He came off like a pompous ass every time I saw him. I’m surprised he resigned though. Apparently the DNC laid down some law. Now the RNC should start laying down some laws of its own. I know DT came in to drain the swamp, but I doubt many of us thought he’d be circling the drain himself...

I can't say I'm too comfortable with this.
I still can't help thinking it'd be better if voters were to make this decision for him.
Provided, of course, there are no legal implications.

That would be an excellent solution.... If the Republicans were smart, they would go down that path lest they concede the moral high ground to the Dems, who have done the righteous thing in cleaning their house.

No, Trump came to replace the swamp with a newer and bigger swamp, with the name "Trump" on it. Don't worry, its just a licensing deal.

Actually most of the population knew that he absolutely would be.

If Franken resigns it's because he's guilty. If he stays it's because he's innocent. He must have been guilty.

The next election for his seat is in 2018. He won that seat after a recount by 221 to 324 votes, depending on what article you read. He would have been hard to beat since he already held the seat. It could still cost the Democrats in the long term with the 2018 elections being mid term.

He wasn't an asset for conservative. Not like Pelosi, Wasserman-Schultz, Waters and that lady with all the weird cowboy hats. Those are assets that are good for the Republicans.

Franken is stepping up as the man he is and admitting guilt. Where is Moore (and Trump) with their admissions?

When the witnesses outnumber him 18 to 1, Moore most likely is. If he were a real Christian, he would craft some type of apology, ask for forgiveness of the victims and then explain the blessing fo the forgiveness of God. It appears, however, that he lacks a fundamental understanding of what it means to be a Christian, opting instead for self-righteousness. Frankly, that is akin to using the Lords name for political gain (in vain).

Sorry, but Moore is one of the most despicable creatures ever to run for a national office.

Nah, that’s not really true. Most of the people on this FORUM thought he would be, but if there’s one thing we’re NOT, it’s representative of the general population.

I think most people knew he was going to be problematic. I think it was Michael Moore who put it: These are people who have been ignored for far too long, and Donald Trump may not be the solution but he is a molotov cocktail they can hurl into the system.

All I can say is that if the Dems really do take the high road, it damn well better hurt the Rs when they don't.




I have become to cynical to think it likely. I mean, he should resign, but it seriously irritates me that Dems have either fallen on their swords or been taken down by other Dems, while the Rs just claim everything is a lie and get defended for doing so here.

If it's bad, it's bad and party shouldn't matter. But someone, all the accusers of Rs are liars who inexplicably claimed to have been harassed by people that claim to not know them.

The multiple dozens of Republican accusers of Moore and Trump are of course liars.
