Being investigated and probably on his way out. Meanwhile your peeps are knowingly rallying behind a child molester and will vote for him. And that pic is worse than supporting a child molester to you because you are literally THAT desperate.

Regardless if he stepped down or not... I think the investigation should go on and either clear him or prove him guilty of having done so. Lord knows if I break the law, quitting my job wouldn't get me out of it.

Doesn't change anything about what I said. He apologized. She accepted the apology and said he shouldn't resign (not that that will ultimately have much likely effect on the outcome). He didn't try to say she made anything up, like Moore and Trump are trying to do with regard to much larger numbers of accusers



But some people are just so damn committed to *getting* liberals that they'll use a false equivalence to say they're the same. (And, no doubt, when situations are the same, to use the lie/deny/deflect routine to say that they're actually different in a way that makes the liberal bad and the conservative good). Such an old transparent game. It's been played since there were internet boards.

What's amazing is, I'm not OK with that picture or that kiss. But those guys are perfectly OK with child molestation and will prove so in a few more days.

Again, he had no choice but to apologize. Had he not apologized for that behavior, his career would have been over far sooner. No sense in heaping praise on the guy.

Now this fellow when he was outed is only now reimbursing an 84 K settlement. If he was democrat the many on the right would be calling for his head.

He could have said "well, I realize the picture might be offensive to some, but I actually didn't touch her. Mistakes were made. Also, she's lying about the kiss". He did the opposite.

If a pay-off was given, then it stands to reason an investigation has already taken place...no?

Not necessarily. A payoff could indicate stopping an investigation. And I think if a poor person can buy his way out of charges, a rich guy shouldn't be able to either.

God has SFA to do with it. Polls show a substantial difference in how R's and D's look at this issue.
I may be wrong here, but that was a sea change in position b R's since Trump was elected.

Dems need to clean house, and that entails fast tracking Franken to the ethics committee. Ensure that they are not living in a glass house with a fistful of rocks in one hand

I would call him a boat anchor and a rallying cry for women voters in the 18 election. Since he will be there 6 years the repercussions will be felt in 2020 as well.

There you go again with the false equivalency. Saying that Franken's handling of the accusations against him is better than Trump's or Moore's is not heaping praise on him. It's just stating a fact. Franken took responsibility for his actions, as was proper. Trump and Moore denied responsibility and slandered their accusers. Franken's reaction was responsible. Trump and Moore's reactions were abominable.

Well if that's your standard, you must think Conyers should stay. A pay off was given. All Conyers needs to do is write a check and everything will be fine.
