Tampa killings suspect charged with 4 counts of murder - CNN

Suspect graduated from St. John's University in New York in 2017
(CNN)After a nearly two-month search, Tampa police arrested and charged a 24-year-old man with four counts of murder in connection to a series of fatal shootings that had terrified residents in the city's Seminole Heights neighborhood.

Howell Donaldson III was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon at a nearby McDonald's after police recovered a gun that they said had been used in the four killings.
Donaldson admitted that he owned the gun but did not admit to the killings, Tampa Police Chief Brian Dugan said, but police are convinced that they finally caught the person responsible.

These killings happened in the Tampa Bay area, thus heightening my interest and my angst.

I deem the reported evidence compelling and overwhelming. While the legal process may defer judgment for several years, I expect a Death Sentence. The psychological aspects of motive remain a mystery. This kid, nicknamed Trai, played basketball for Alonso High School in Tampa, graduating in 2011. He might also have played basketball for St. John's University in NYC.
He apparently has a Computer Science Degree and Tampa-based family with some modicum of recognized success. Why did he take a low paying job at a McDonalds? Why did he choose random victims?

I thank all who committed to and assisted in his capture!

Hmm...Think I'll wait for the court proceedings to decide one way or the other on this. I don't know what all the evidence is. If however this is the killer then I hope that he gets proper treatment and I'm glad that the people of Seminole Heights are safe from this guy now.

Waiting to hear more come out about this man.

In the randomness, reminds me of the Malvo killings.

I hope this is the guy. The whole thing gave me flashbacks to Berkowitz. If this guy's neighbor's dog was telling him to kill....

From the article:

Donaldson reportedly gave the manager of the Ybor McDonald's (pictured) a paper bag, saying he was going to get money as he was leaving the state, and told him not to look in it. When the manager opened the bag, he found a handgun inside and called police

Doesnt sound bright enough to have graduated college. Altho I was wondering why he was then working at a McDs.

The Malvo killings weren't really random. It was just intended to look random but they were planned.

The whole plot was for John Allen Muhammad to kill his wife. That was the one goal. But he knew if he just went up and killed his wife he'd be the first suspect. So the apparent random killings were just cover so that when his wife got murdered in the same way, they'd just chalk it up to some random killer guy and not him.
