I can't say I watch TODAY and haven't seen much of Matt Lauer over the years, but from what I have seen he has either become more cranky in his later career or his real personality and proclivities have caught up to his public persona.

LOL. The problem with your rationalization is that it is, well, pure rationalization. You have no clue how long the issues with Lauer have been going on. None. Zero. It is FAR more likely that Lauer's victims finally feel empowered enough by current events to finally force NBCs hand. Look at cases like Charlie Rose where the guy had a long history sexual predation that was known to he staff.

The only noteworthy thing to pull from the Lauer story is how tight lipped they are being regarding the actual accusations. What that tells me is that accusations against Lauer might actually rise to the level of criminal conduct and NBC would be forced to stay tight lipped while also being forced to explain why Lauer is no longer with NBC.

Even MORE telling is that you have twisted reality so badly that you somehow believe that the news agency that actually cleaned house FIRST is the one who did it poorly. :roll:

It's really not. Just don't try to make innapropiate sexual advances towards women (or anyone, really) at work. It's not that hard.

i have been managing mostly women for 30 years + now

From ages of 16 to well over 70, and staff sizes from around 7-8 to well over 25 direct reports

With titles ranging from office manager to controller to CFO....managing admin and accounting has been my thing for my entire career

Never have had an issue....every counseling session is with two people....every interview two people....every time i have had to fire, two people

Treat everyone the same, with respect, and expect them to do their jobs

Maybe i have just been blessed....but never anything close to a issue like that

My comments were based on the on air reaction from the people Lauer worked with all expressing complete shock that this came out of the blue. And an initial report which stated this was the first actual complain made against Lauer.

Now compare that with the payoffs at FOX to keep the victims of Ailes and O'reilly in line so they could keep both working for FOX where lots and lots of people were not at all shocked when both were finally kicked out as they saw it coming for a long time.

It makes Mike Pence's decision to not meet alone with women seem wise.

That might be one of the unintended consequence of all this. Women getting less opportunities due to fear of misinterpretation of an action an employer/colleague might take or false reports from the female if meetings are taken 1 on 1.

They are not worthy of any praise, this behavior has been going on for years, and they did nothing. All this was after Fox got rid of people. They had no choice.
