A woman approached The Post with dramatic — and false — tale about Roy Moore. She appears to be part

I made my point...which pertains to the thread topic. What more do you want?

Momentary- posting a video with nothing else is nothing but lazy.
If you listened to the video, you have an opinion. Post it. If you did not listen to the video, then why did you post it??

I have my doubts about the veracity of this story. I'm thinking WaPo is trying to get ahead of the bombshell that's being dropped on them by Project Veritas.

Yeah, because O'Keefe hasn't been exposed as a complete and total liar before....

Congrats on accepting the lowering of the journalistic bar by Project Veritas...you will believe any dogsqueeze they sell you.

It's a legitimate story that Project Veritas was trying to run a scam on a major U.S. newspaper to get them to run a false story regarding Roy Moore, currently in a very important election for U.S. Senate down in Alabama. Have you not been following the news? Every news org would run that story, because it's important and it is interesting to readers.

Nothing I said had anything to do with Project Veritas, much less "protected them".

So here is me, exposing you.

The OP is in fact about Project Veritas. If you don't expose them for being lying liars, you're protecting them or their reputation, such as it is.

A false sting gone awry.
Things are getting desperate for Moore supporters.

It was only a matter of time before something like this happened. I would say that Phillips was a fool for thinking this wouldn't blow up in her face, but manufacturing fake stories means never having to say you're sorry. So long as there are people who want to believe the conspiracy theory because it confirms their beliefs, then that's all that matters.

Moore's "supporters" tried to muddy the waters by having the Post run a fake story, calling into question the actual accusers. The obvious reason they would have had to do this is that they couldn't credibly defend Moore against the real charges.
Trump donated $10,000 to PV last year.

Because they know that Moore is a pervert who likes little girls....on top of being a theocratic talibornagain anti science idiot.....but evidently those are considered positive traits in Alabama.

Yeah, they're desperate. Remember this story, from a couple weeks back?

Fake 'Bernie Bernstein' robocaller offered cash for dirt on Roy Moore - The San Diego Union-Tribune

Robocalls offering money for negative stories on Roy Moore:

"Hi, this is Bernie Bernstein, I'm a reporter for the Washington Post calling to find out if anyone at this address is a female between the ages of 54 to 57 years old willing to make damaging remarks about candidate Roy Moore for a reward of between $5,000 and $7,000 dollars. We will not be fully investigating these claims however we will make a written report. I can be reached by email at albernstein@washingtonpost.com. Thank you."

That's dumb enough to also be by the hacks at Project Veritas....

That video of O'Keefe by the WaPo acting like a Wa Huh? Me? Yosemite Sam was pretty damn funny.

I dunno wat-cher talkin bout Willis. Gotta go.

Boy, Mr. O'Keefe sure can't take it when a reporter ambushes him on the street and asks him about the blatant lie that he tried to pull. Imagine that.

Congrats conservatives...these are the people speaking for you, if you had any sense of shame you would be embarrassed...evidently not though...

Sorry, but if you believe this, you have a lot of reading up to do on this group. This sort of "undercover journalism" is what they do. They wear disguises. They tell fabricated stories. The story hasn't exposed them for being anything.

Well, I wasted 4 minutes listening to that garbage, and stupidly giving that POS O'Keefe a click on his Youtube channel. Anything in there you want to highlight because I didn't see anything even interesting, much less scandalous?

As I said to the other guy, I have no comment on the video. My point is about this article from WaPo.

What YOU want is of no consequence to me.

Why are you blathering at me about O'Keefe? You should be talking about WaPo.

Seriously.

You think O'Keefe isn't a blatant liar.

No help for you.

I know what the POS O'Keefe does - he lies for a living. I'd have to think hard to find someone I have less respect for in the broad category of "media."

It's exposed them for trying to spread malicious lies intended to undermine women reporting about Roy Moore. So, yeah, the story did expose them on this particular issue - they got caught with their pants down on this "story."

You said you don't believe WAPO's article because of some stupid story Project Veritas supposedly is about to spring, then linked the video, but it doesn't prove your point. So the video had no purpose other than to show idiot O'Keefe's ugly mug?

Good to know I don't have to finish that video, so thanks for that, I guess.

But the bottom line is Project Veritas got caught trying to spread a malicious lie to undermine women telling their stories about Roy Moore. Believe what you want, but the rest of us know what happened.

Um, the thread is about O’Keefe’s Project Veritas trying to plant a fake story in order to lessen the credibility of the allegations against Moore. Please DO try to keep up.

Maybe ABC's John Quiñones? His show puts on multiple "lying liars" every week.

It's exposed them for trying to spread malicious lies intended to undermine women reporting about Roy Moore. So, yeah, the story did expose them on this particular issue - they got caught with their pants down on this "story."
Do you think the media does a better job vetting these stories knowing that there is at least one group out there testing them like this?

And the "other" bottom line is the attempt to taint the reputation of WaPo and the investigative reporting of them and other legitimate news organizations.

Project Veritas, Breitbart, Fox and the others have found their niche in those who cannot handle the truth.

I don't watch much TV and haven't seen or heard of his show....

I'll just speak to this particular story - women coming forward accusing Roy Moore of acts including sexual assault. HELL NO! I don't think this effort served any legitimate purpose at all. Journalists doing actual honest work can vet these women's stories without trying to maliciously undermine them by planting false ones. It's IMO an incredibly dishonest and mean-spirited act - to smear these women with nothing more than guilt by association. It's EXACTLY the kind of thing unethical, scum sucking lawyers working for sexual predators would do to get their clients off.

His approach to everything is fundamentally dishonest, and he's showed us this over and over. I don't respect it in any way. IMO, the world would be better off if someone he's targeted sued that guy and his smear machine into absolute oblivion.

No...this thread is about a WaPo story.

Nobody was smeared. If anything, quite the opposite.
