From The New York Times

The New York Times said on Monday that it was suspending Glenn Thrush, one of its most prominent reporters, after he was accused of sexually inappropriate behavior....

The Times also said Mr. Thrush had said he planned to enter a substance abuse program and that the newspaper supported his decision...

BLUF: it turns out that Mr Thrush has a habit of using company outings as a platform from which to isolate young female members of the staff under the guise of offering them mentorship, etc. He then plies them with alcohol, and begins putting his hands and mouth where they aren't wanted. Afterward, he privately offers an apology, and then spreads rumors among the company about how they came on to him, but he had to (being the adult) rebuff them, so as to discredit any attempt on their part to bring up his behavior.

Gosh. If only there was some kind of indication that Thrush wasn't full of journalistic integrity.

Journalist are fallible, it seems. At least we have the virtuous folks in politics and entertainment as our society's shining light.

Well, the one doesn't really have to do with the other, of course. Knowing Thrush is a hack doesn't really equate to having forewarning of the other stuff.

I dunno. I kinda tend to suspect if you lack integrity in one area of your life, you are likely to lack it in others.

This is almost as disgusting as the Fox News sexual allagations, but not quite.

I'd have gone more by the fact that he's a total douche on TV.
