ABC: Trump admin. to reverse ban on elephant trophies from Africa

Enlighten all of us. How and when is trophy hunting an appropriate behavior?

In my world hunting is a way of life and hoping for a large buck is something we dream of. We use all the meat, process it ourselves and give back with hundreds of hours a year in habitat improvement. Byond the reward of getting meat for the table by our own hand there is the challenge of hunting for the largest and smartest.

You might not like it but it's the way it is in most rural areas of the country.

Do you actually understand that trophy hunters are only in it for the kill? It's not about the food.

I never compared hunting for food to trophy hunting.. I have zero issues with those who hunt legally and feed their families.

Anyone who buys meat in the store is essentially a "hunter"

You're asking him to share his opinion so you can counter with your opinion why his opinion is wrong?

Please show me where I suggested his opinion was wrong?

Here...

...though I'm sure you'll have a lame excuse at the ready to weasel out of it.

And his explanation illustrated my point. He is hunting for food. Which I have zero issue with. That isn't how I define trophy hunting. I am referring to those who hunt for solely the thrill of the kill.

What is your problem other than trying to stir ****.?

A simple question....do you ever shoot the largest buck with a round of ammo and leave the carcass to whatever end? Do you cut off a body parts to show your friends? No, I am sure you do not. There is a huge difference between hunting as you describe it and trophy hunting. I don't live in a rural area, but I have friends who do. I don't hunt, but recognize how the practice is pretty much an integral part of life in some areas.

Still hoping any big game hunter gets stomped by an Elephant before they can get a shot off

Your opinion is not based on facts, but what you make up in your own mind.

Check out his boy's photos with their kill and then there's Zinke's taxidermy in his office. pffft.

Villagers harvest the elephant meat and the money goes to game management. Legal harvesting has no effect on poaching or the black market. Legal ivory has a seriously enforced paper trail. Illegal ivory does not. However, hunting fees do allow hiring more game enforcement officers to beat the brush looking for poachers.

It is no wonder that Conservatives do not believe in the Theory of Evolution. Why would they if they have not evolved when it comes to putting a Elephants head on a wall. What really gets me is that these same Christians who believe in the Bible apparently do not believe in the great flood and Noah. God and Noah were the first Conservationist. That is if you believe in the BIBLE. So read the link of the last 100 years and the animals that are no more https://www.davidwolfe.com/animals-extinct-in-100-years/ Humans are not so good stewards of what God has created. The floor is all yours my hypocritical Christians
