UPDATE 3:31 p.m. (WKRG) — The Executive Editor, Marty Baron, of the Washington Post released the following statement:
“The Post has just learned that at least one person in Alabama has received a call from someone falsely claiming to be from The Washington Post. The call’s description of our reporting methods bears no relationship to reality. We are shocked and appalled that anyone would stoop to this level to discredit real journalism.”

I have only one question - Is there no end to the depth and depravity that some Moore supporters will go to in order to support child molestation? In all fairness, it looks like the Moore campaign itself is innocent of this fraud, but some wacko supporter is certainly attempting to ratchet up the sleaze. You can hear the fake robocall at the link.

John Rogers with the Roy Moore campaign says it’s the first he’s heard of this type of robocall. We contacted the Washington Post but it would be highly unlikely that a newspaper would offer thousands of dollars for information, damaging or otherwise. We searched and could not find a record of a ‘Bernie’ or ‘Al Bernstein’ who works as a reporter at the Washington Post.

It's pure Bannon. Too late, unless they crowd-fund a run for Moore.

That was the most bogus call. It could just be a lone wolf or be a part of the Moore team.

It just keeps getting better and better down there.

This is the level of sleaze that the Alt Right and the talibornagains do.

What really pisses me off is that the culprit used a Jewish sounding name in the fake robocall too, which tells me that either the KKK or Nazis are behind the call.

Is this the "proof" he has promised to provide?

Yup, that was kinda my thought too, along with the accent. Not very subtle with the stereotyping there.

LOL! Real journalism??? Who are they kidding?

lol, really? Holy stretching Batman! Weren't you the same person who insisted that a bunch of alt-right skinheads were behind the racist messages sent to a bunch of Navy cadets? I don't believe this story because the Washington Post would not pay for that kind of story. They'd just make up some garbage whole-cloth.

How very St Petersburg troll of you to make such inflammatory comments.

"Bernie Bernstein?" They should have just gone with "Jewy McJewface."

...or your average white Alabamian.

You seriously underestimate the people in that state.
