WSJ: Mueller probes Flynn role in plot to deliver cleric to Turkey

Former White House national security adviser Mike Flynn and his son are alleged to have been offered as much as $15 million to forcibly remove from the US a Muslim cleric wanted by Turkey, The Wall Street Journal reports.

"Under this statute, both domestic kidnapping in violation of US law, and if it was a crime in Turkish law, both would be specific unlawful activities, so anyone who engages in the effort to bring money into the US for the purpose of kidnapping another violates the statute. That's a 20-year felony," Zeldin said. If the cleric were to die once in Turkish hands, that could mean a life sentence for the pair, Zeldin said.​

But did they indicate that they would accept the offer? If they turned it down, they won't be charged, except maybe being charged with not reporting it to the FBI.

The Journal said the people who described the alleged proposal didn't attend the December meeting and didn't have direct knowledge of the details. There's no indication that money changed hands or that an agreement was made.

Itplave right in the articls, that the people who described the meeting that took place at " Club 21 " didn't attend the meeting and had no detailed knowledge of what took place

Flynn and Flynn Jr were supposed to help deliver cleric Fethullah Gülen (in exile in the US) to Erdogan thugs and flown back to Turkey. There he would be incarcerated in the same island prison where the leader of the Turkish PKK - Abdullah Öcalan - has been held since 1999.

According to whom ? The article states that CNNs sources could not provide details because they didnt actually attend the meeting.

A alledged meeting over a kidnapping scheme that never happened is just more CNN fake news

CNNs sources claimed they weren't actually present at this meeting so they couldnt give any details of this alledged kidnapping plot that never happend.

I'm more insulted by the appointment of a foreign agent to a key national security post. The fact that we now have to comb through what transgressions against his position and the United States this disgraced imbecile may have committed or been asked to commit during his short tenure is extremely annoying.
