These are the 37 major deals US firms signed with Chinese entities during Trump's visit

Who knows then?

Maybe we each just respond to individuals in our own individual fashion?

Personalities either click or miss. But if you don't like the guy personally, it puts a lot of stops there.

Look at HRC. My God, what a dislikeable personality! More plastic than my Visa Card! :doh

But just to show how this goes: Trump indeed does have facets of his personality, which to me do indeed make him fairly likeable on the surface. Trouble is, to me I see this likeable side as a con-job. Almost sociopathic in nature.

So when I get vibes like that, it's hard for me to go much further with him. Plus I also disagree with much of his policy, which is a separate issue.

Yeah, the policies are a separate issue from personality and presentation.

You don't like Trump full stop. Fair.

I don't like aspects of Trump, but do like the policies and agenda, fair as well.

Be well.

Ok, I admit that I am no businessman, and don't hold any degree in economics or anything, but from the sound of this, it has to be a good thing in the point of more business for the US....

Thoughts?

The net of all deals with China is an ever-increasing trade deficit. As of October, that increase was 12.2% over the same time period a year ago. The thing is, our world trade deficit is balanced by those countries' US bond purchases. We remain the world’s best investment. There is no significant proof that lowering corporate tax rates will improve that trade deficit by allowing corps to lower their prices to sell more. There is no significant proof tariffs, taxes and restrictions work in our favor. The trade deficit cannot be the sole statistic to determine what our trading policies should be. Besides, if we use restrictions and Tariffs on countries where we had a trade deficit, those countries would quite naturally reciprocate and all we’d be doing is upsetting world trade. Trade deficits are not as bad as they are made out to be.
