Lawmakers: We don't know how widespread sexual harassment is on the Hill

Lawmakers in Congress are furiously drafting legislation to fix the archaic sexual harassment reporting rules on Capitol Hill, but a troubling realization is coming into focus: The true extent of the problem is being shielded by the current system in place.

Ohhhh... I'd say.... probably pretty damn high. Since power and sex seem to walk hand in hand. Then there's this scary tidbit of news...

Report: D.C. Has One Of The Highest STD Rates In The Country

In recent years, the D.C. Department of Health has put a lot of effort into its safe sex campaigns, particular in HIV and AIDS prevention. And while the city's AIDS/HIV rates are rapidly declining, D.C. still has some of the highest STD rates in the country, according to a new report put together by Superdrug Online Doctor. So high, in fact, that D.C. "requires its own scale due to its very high rate of STDs, with peak rates of gonorrhea more than three times higher than the peak rate among the 50 states," the report says.

HepB and HepC are probably more needle spread than sexually based on where they are at.

Interestingly, except for New York and Connecticut, the top 5 for all categories are southern states and D.C.

I see Alabama is mentioned in two categories........

Washington DC and Capital Hill are two very different places.
