Syria signs Paris climate agreement
The United States (specifically the Tump administration) is now the sole climate-change/Paris Accord pariah state in the world. An official in French President Emmanuel Macron's office said that Trump will not be invited to an international climate summit in Paris this December. The leaders of over 200 nations and environmental organizations will attend said the French official.

Syria has reportedly signed the Paris climate agreement. The Independent reported that Syria signed the accord. The move leaves the U.S. as the only country in the world that is not supporting it. The report comes after Nicaragua last month signed the agreement, which left the U.S. and Syria as the only two countries not supporting it. The Trump administration filed a formal notice with the United Nations in August that it would be leaving the deal “as soon as it is eligible to do so.” The earliest the U.S. can leave the deal is Nov. 4, 2020. Trump’s decision was met with widespread criticism. After his announcement, a dozen states and hundreds of cities announced they would uphold the tenants of the climate deal.
