Alleged Rand Paul attacker out on bail, facing low-level charge as mystery surrounds motive

There is no mystery. Rand Paul probably said something to the effect of "flat tax, flat tax, free market will fix everything, the civil rights act is abhorrent"

Lawyer for the guy says it isn't politics:

Again, this is related to all the hatred and rage being stirred up by the Media and Democrats, and thats related to the epic and never ending tatrum the Left has been throwing since Hillary lost.

It definitely needs to be updated at least. "minor injuries," but now "unsure when he will be back to work." Broken rib cage is not minor.

This was my thinking as well. 5 broken ribs isn't a minor injury. Not sure what the legal definition is of a minor injury but I had assumed broken bones would be above that.
 
I think we're missing the real scandal here. Paul didn't hesitate to call a govt agency for help.

That smells much better. Pretty odd that an anesthesiologist would tackle somebody over politics.
 
without knowing more about this, it seems pretty strange. five broken ribs aren't a minor injury at all, and the charges seem fairly light, especially for blindside tackling a member of congress. i wonder WTF is going on here.

well if the posts at this forum are any indication, conservatives and republicans are delicate snowflakes. A slight breeze probably accounted for 2 or 3 of his broken ribs

nah, seems like he got straight up blindsided. there has to be some backstory here that explains more of it, but as it stands, totally not cool. i suppose that we'll find out more as the story develops.
