Police: Rand Paul assaulted in Bowling Green

Yep typical New York liberal move, attack someone from the rear then claim they won the fight. Try that with the good old boys in my area and see who gets "bitch slapped" Mr. Brooklyn liberal.

I don't understand why this would define a "typical New York liberal" move. Are the New Yorkers who walk up and sucker punch people just a bunch of "libs?" Probably not. But I find it interesting that people denigrate liberals for the "peace loving hippies" that they are; then denigrate liberals for also being violent attackers from the rear.

Look at Jared Lee Loughner. He had been rejected from joining the Army in 2008 because he failed a drug test, chose not to return to college because he would have to pass a mental exam, and still lived with mommy and daddy as a complete deadbeat at age 22. He began posting political crap on his Myspace account and on YouTube about his views on terrorism, federal laws, and his belief that the government was brainwashing the citizenry with language. His answer to terrorism was to walk up to an unsuspecting Gabrielle Gifford, a House Representative for Arizona, and shoot her in the head. He commenced to fire randomly at other unarmed and defenseless members of the crowd.

Is what he did supposed to be passed off as a "typical" conservative move? Probably not.

Sorry if you don't like my response, but I have found in my lifetime most liberals are basically cowardly and would not hesitate to sucker punch someone.
That is my opinion and I am entitled to my opinion.

To be fair, He's probably not originally from NYC as so many people proclaiming to be "new yorkers" do these days.

I'm was just looking for understanding. It seems to me that liberals are always too concerned with "fairness, equality" and rainbows for all. It seems odd to think of the average liberal as being a violent sucker-puncher to even a rabbit (of which they would protest for if you harm one).

Many liberals like to pretend they are one thing when in reality they act the exact opposite. Take the tree huggers for example. Remember when they would spike trees to injure or maim Lumber Jacks. Then most recently the violent protests over the election.

Born and raised in Brooklyn NY.

What does that mean?

What would it mean if I wasn't born and raised in Brooklyn?

How old are you?

I was born and raised in loisiada.

What I meant about that is that many people from our city aren't actually from our city.

Suspect in Rand Paul assault pleads not guilty

"Washington (CNN)The man who allegedly assaulted GOP Sen. Rand Paul outside his Kentucky residence pleaded not guilty Thursday to misdemeanor assault in the fourth degree at his arraignment in Bowling Green.
Rene Boucher allegedly tackled Paul, breaking six of his ribs and sustaining bruised lungs. There was no change to the charges and no change in bond.
The attorney representing Boucher said Monday that attacking the Kentucky Republican had "absolutely nothing" to do with politics.

"The unfortunate occurrence of November 3 has absolutely nothing to do with either's politics or political agendas," a statement by attorney Matthew Baker said. "It was a very regrettable dispute between two neighbors over a matter that most people would regard as trivial.""

Prediction: This is going to get even stranger before it all becomes clear.

Not so strange, disputes by neighbors that turn violent are common but rare. It's like road rage. I had a neighbor who hated us from the day we moved in, simply because we had a German Shepard and he didn't like Shepard's. I got around it by completely ignoring him.

If you're just looking for understanding, one of the first things you should try to understand is that labels like "liberal" or "conservative" are often wildly misleading and horribly inaccurate in judging individuals.

Of course, I am aware of that. The words are used as insults by people who mostly don't even understand the terms. Especially, by conservatives who live within and enjoy a liberal government.

What I don't get is how people can insult themselves by preferring ignorance. There's a reason the more open minded and more level headed are the educated.

Ben Schreckinger, a D.C.-based GQ Correspondent gives a spin I relate to on the Rand Paul/Rene Boucher Debacle.

Even with my Left of Center proclivity, I truly hope prosecutors stay strong on this and seek to have Boucher serve at least several months incarceration. Two major issues factor into my thinking: 1. Boucher attacked Paul on Paul's property; 2. Boucher blindsided Paul.

If Boucher blindsided me, I swear to God I would pray to regain "Fight Strength" for a rematch in a more honorable setting.

Rand Paul comes off as *****-like due to the level of reported injuries... and for not coming off manly after the fact. Boucher comes off as *****-like for instigating a blindside attack.

so, what is the latest news on Rand Paul's Bowling Green Massacre?

so, what is the latest news on Rand Paul's Bowling Green Massacre?

this excerpt from the following article is what i believe was behind the incident:
"He's kind of a neatnik in his yard," said Skaggs, the co-developer who built Rivergreen 20 years ago. "You'd see all the little clippings sitting in little plastic bags waiting for pickup every week." Indeed, on a recent afternoon, a black garbage bag filled with yard clippings still sat in Boucher's driveway in front of his three-car garage. Planters flanking the front steps and the back of the house were all neatly stacked with the same seasonal ornament: a greenish-black-and-white gourd on top of a solid white gourd on top of an orange pumpkin.
Like most everyone else in the Rivergreen development, Goodwin told me, Boucher pays in the ballpark of $150 a month for professional landscaping, while Paul insists on maintaining his yard himself. Goodwin said that part of what nagged at Boucher was the difference in grass length between his lawn and that of his libertarian neighbor's. "He had his yard sitting at a beautiful two-and-a-half, three inches thick, where Rand cuts it to the nub," Goodwin said.
Also at issue, according to Goodwin, is Paul's tendency to mow outward at the edge of his property, spraying his clippings into Boucher's yard. Boucher, he said, has asked Paul to instead mow inward when near the boundary line, and even sought help from the Rivergreen Homeowners Association but has gotten no relief.
Goodwin recalled picking up Boucher, a devout Catholic, at his home after church one Sunday afternoon several years ago. Boucher had confronted Paul about his yard-maintenance practices a few minutes before Goodwin's arrival, to no avail, and Goodwin saw Boucher grow agitated as they both watched Paul blow grass onto his lawn. "I've asked him and I've asked him and I've asked him," Goodwin recalls Boucher fuming. "How long can you sit there taking someone plucking a hair out of your nose?" Goodwin asked. "How long could you take that before losing your temper?"
