BTW...a quick search of THIS SITE shows 4 threads started on this very topic by Conservative posters...and left leanign posters pooh poohing all of it-way back when. Meh...its no big deal. Maybe...but so what. Of course...thats why no one takes any of it seriously.
Hell...theres even a thread there about Russia and Putin promoting the Texas drive for independence.

The OP specifically lays out how Russians trolls invented Calexit and how that news was disseminated by willing American participants, and your only response has been to hand wave it aside. Like countryboy and vancemack, you seem to see this as some kind of hilarious game rather than an external threat to our country.

They were probably "poo pooing" it because they knew that Calexit was nonsense, and that it was a story being eaten up by those happy to aid and abet the division being sowed by Russian trolls.

If I were splitting the state, I'd damn well take the Russian money. What ever it takes to delete southern California would be a good thing.

But you don't need Russians to make it a popular idea. Just money.

I'm sure you know liberals. Do you think that the liberals you know are actively hoping for the deterioration of this country or believe in policy that would be detrimental to themselves, their state or their nation? Of course they aren't and none of the liberals I know are hoping America falls flat on its face. The opposition to Trump is based squarely on the fear that his policies are fundamentally oppositional to what makes America great. They don't believe we've been living in a terrible country for the last century as was 1/3 of the Trump campaign's appeal (America is no longer great - which he took from the first episode of Newsroom - that Hillary should be locked up and that Mexico will pay for a wall to keep criminals out). Stupidity isn't partisan. Partisan blindness isn't partisan. Terrible ideas are proposed by people on both sides of the spectrum.

You seem to place stupidity, partisan blindness and terrible ideas as uniquely "leftist," which is not making America greater if, at best, it's not very, very slightly harming it with your toxic rhetoric on this forum.

You may or may not have seen the million or so times I have studiously discriminated here on this site the VAST different between liberals and leftists. And while we could agree the stupidity is commonly put on display by the extremist left AND the extremist right...it just so happens that in this thread is it on display by extremist leftists.

And let's not forget Calexit took place in response to Trump's election, so if it was the Russians, the media was pretty damn silent about it!
