Bowe Bergdahl to serve no prison time after pleading guilty to desertion

I think what has folks so pissed off about this verdict are:

1) At least 2 servicemen were severely injured while looking for him; and,

2) The man went AWOL during war time - a most unforgivable sin as far as most (combat) veterans are concerned.

I was being a little glib with my previous comment on this subject, but the truth is there's really nothing that can be done to compensate the two injuried soldiers short what VA benefits/services they're already receiving.

Like the POTUS said, "They knew what they signed up for". War is hell.

War time?....A bunch of US Military way up in the Mountains of Afghanistan is "war Time"...The whole mission was a joke and a waste of "time"

I hope they file lawsuits individually. That pos shouldn't be allowed to wear the uniform for starters. Bunch of bs is what it is.
