Angus King: No basis for Trump's claim that it's agreed campaign didn't collude with Russia - CNNPolitics
King, whose panel is conducting one of several investigations into Russia's meddling in the election, said the committee will still be reviewing evidence for months, calling Trump's declaration "premature."

..."I think it's important to emphasize that whatever it is, it's just the beginning, and I'm sure there will be additional evidence, assuming Director Mueller uncovers additional evidence," he said.

King, who caucuses with Democrats in the Senate, also said he thought the timing of calls for Mueller to resign from the investigation and the news of indictments in that probe were probably not a coincidence.

"I don't see any reason why he should recuse himself or be fired," King said. "The fact that these charges are coming at kind of a crescendo at a very time there it appears they're also indictments, to be forthcoming, there is a kind of coincidence there that I don't think you can miss."

Pay attention. Some folks think that because this investigation has dragged on a while that there is nothing to the investigation/allegations.

Senator King is flat out telling you that there's some there there.

In other words, a somethingburger.

Trump is so good at this stuff. His tweets are for his fans not for people in Congress. As soon as his fans read "King, who caucuses with Democrats in the Senate" they are done with the article. A while ago on this forum I complained about the saying "perception is reality" because I think it is dishonest. However, it really is applicable for a large amount of people. The investigation, no matter how many charges are filed, will be looked at by most of his fans as fake news. Whatever he says on Twitter will be backed up by right wing news, and no matter what happens Trump will be viewed as someone that the "deep state", "globalists", or "left wing elitists" hate because he is a patriot. This is the world we live in. Nobody cares what King says.

common among his staff. Surround yourself with yes men and you'll likely believe that your the best thing on Earth. It's not considered healthy though.

It is commonly agreed.
I have been reading the posts of Trumpco customers, and they commonly agree that Trump is blameless.
People have been saying it.

Trump does that childish thing of "We all know" "It's common knowledge" "everyone knows" or "everyone thinks...." to make himself seem credible without any evidence.

The majority of Americans and probably the known world understand that Trump is as full of **** as a Christmas goose.

There's no way Trump is smart enough to have studied the science and art of Joseph Goebbels on his own. In fact, I seriously doubt Trump even knows who Goebbels was.

Goebbels was a true evil genius. He has been given a great deal of credit for making Hitler and Nazi Germany possible through his use of propaganda. In my opinion, Goebbels took propaganda beyond science to a form of art. And it worked!

One or more of Trump's minders, my guess is Steven Miller, has coached Trump in using propaganda methods developed and/or refined by Goebbels. Repeat a lie enough and it will be believed. That among other methods works well for Trump as Trump is unbalanced and thus believes much of the **** he says to the world.

Also, the Watergate investigation took two years. Mueller has only been at for about 5 months. It's early days yet.

It's commonly agreed among Scientologists that humans originally came from the planet Xenu, but that doesn't mean that they're right.

In my mind, Trump's idiotic rants and delusional claims can only play well with two types of citizens:

1] Those who are truly challenged in discerning truth from reality.
2] Those who only want theirs, and couldn't care less about anything or anyone else.

Apparently around 35% of the country is comprised of those two categories above, which is shocking enough, but it seems they make up around 85% of the Republican voting bloc!

Unfortunately since we are not a democracy, but must deal with the vagaries of our republic's Electoral College system, they are indeed in control of the country - and by extension us!

Here's a very good interesting & related article, and it's not too long:

The reason that I, personally, have not supported impeachment is because it would exacerbate the already deep divide in the country. I still think that's true and that it would be better to defeat Trump at the polls than in a Senate vote to convict. As Trumps presidency goes on, I'm beginning to loose my nerve, especially when I watch how he's handling North Korea. He had the capability to do immense and irreparable harm. There's no good way out of this.

I don't think about impeachment because it would take a hell of a lot to get Republicans on board with that. I just don't think it is a real possibility for it barring some huge revelations from the investigation. I don't think Trump is getting worse as time goes on. If you watched him from the primaries onward most of what is going on now you could've predicted with a decent amount of accuracy.

One of Trump's mentors in his youth was Norman Vincent Peale, who said, "Attitude is more important than facts."
