While I've always believed both are as bad as each other, the RNC's miscalculation of radicalizing their supporters in the wake of Obamas election has backfired spectacularly and has produced a Trump presidency, the single biggest indicator of how insane Republican America has become.

Why, all things considered when this whole bout of TDS is even in full swing still. He is doing a better job then most of the DNC are willing to give him credit for.

Then again for them to see that, they would have to remain objective.
Also as a counter point, its not the republicans fault that we have Trump now. We can actually blame that on how Obama managed to racially divide the country during his two terms, and how horribly Hillary handled the whole election. This goes without mentioning how much the MsM ****ed up their end by being so completely biased, it blew the trust they garnered all these year over the course of a few short months.

You also want to say that the Reps radicalized their supporters?

How so?
Seeing as many of the people who voted for Obama, voted for Trump (myself included). Though if you still want to think its the Reps fault all of this is happening, go right on ahead.

Warped world view, exhibit A.

"Republicans elected a crazy person because Obama".

I know plenty of people who stand as independent, who voted for Trump. Your view that its only the republicans that did it is to be considered no less warped if I am to be honest.

Yet you have still not shown how the reps got radicalized... waiting.

Yes. The investigation is all a big conspiracy.

Here's a sure fire way to tell if something is not on the up and up. With all the Clinton and Obama connections to Russia, and the hundreds of millions of dollars changing hands, and then there is no investigation.

It would not be the easiest case, but yes it could indeed be doable.

All that's needed is evidence of intention. For instance, if Trump communicated anything in email concerning his intention to dump Comey to end the investigation or protect someone from Comey (ex: Flynn).

And, of course, the simple fact that they can't indict Trump. So why bother?

Former Obama voters were a key piece of the Trump coalition. Many former Romney voters (myself among them) did not vote for Trump.

This is false.

The majority of people who voted for Trump were GOP voters, the same people who voted for Romney, McCain, Dubya, etc.

Trump beat Hillary with independents 46-42%. Hardly anything out of this world.

The majority of people who voted for Donald Trump were Republican voters. This is a fact. Trump's presidency would not exist if millions of Republican voters didn't vote for him. Everything Donald Trump does is rightfully going to be blamed on Republican voters, since they are responsible for him winning the primaries, and then the presidency.

Yes he did get those votes, he also got more of the minority votes then anyone on the DNC thought he could even possibly get. Not to mention the amount of immigrant Americans that came out in favor for him, or even women for that matter.

He basically found success in areas that they believed he would have no chance what so ever.

It does not changed the fact that blaming one demographic for him becoming president, is the correct way to go about things here. Plenty of posters on here are starting to actually sound like Hillary in that respect.

Yeah... I'm sure you have all sorts of back up on that from the most reliable sources like breitbart and such.

uh no.

You want to dish responsibility for trump away from the right. It won't work.

It took at best some obama voters. But it took damn near all of republican voters. So blaming the left for this atrocity of a president isn't going to work.

I knew the right would eventually start trying to shift the blame.

There is nothing remarkable when Republican voters vote for a Republican candidate. They did that in 2012 without success. The unique --and crucial-- factor in 2016 was erstwhile Democrats voting for the Republican. They were the difference-makers.

Independents and middle-roaders swing from one to the other. That's what they do in every election. Nevertheless, republicans shat this turd and Republicans own it.

Doesn't matter to me. I didn't vote for DJT and I have no stake in the Republican party. But sooner or later the Dems will have to address their problem: a non-trivial percentage of the Dem base provided DJT with his margin of victory.

No matter how you spin it, republicans primaried him to the top and went all in for this asshat. This problem is the right's problem.
