Natalia V. Veselnitskaya arrived at a meeting at Trump Tower in June 2016 hoping to interest top Trump campaign officials in the contents of a memo she believed contained information damaging to the Democratic Party and, by extension, Hillary Clinton. The material was the fruit of her research as a private lawyer, she has repeatedly said, and any suggestion that she was acting at the Kremlin’s behest that day is anti-Russia “hysteria.”

But interviews and records show that in the months before the meeting, Ms. Veselnitskaya had discussed the allegations with one of Russia’s most powerful officials, the prosecutor general, Yuri Y. Chaika. And the memo she brought with her closely followed a document that Mr. Chaika’s office had given to an American congressman two months earlier, incorporating some paragraphs verbatim.

Yuri Yakovlevich Chaika is a staunch Putin regime functionary and Prosecutor General of Russia. His office has imprisoned thousands of political activists. His sons Artem and Igor are well known in Russia for their expansive corruption.

They've given up on the fake dossier, which of-course was funded by the DNC and the Clinton cpaign and moved onto this apparently.

Guess you guys did not get the message... The Russian collusion crap is over now. No legs on that horse so they are moving to "obstruction" now. Start posting the obstruction stories from this point forward.
Watched some lunatic Congressman stating they have 3 obstruction charges to impeach President Trump with. So we can see the plan now. Scream obstruction and then scream impeach! Please try and stay with the resist pack. :)

I thought this was already known. The task is to discover if the Trump campaign engaged. And even then, you people think Trump is going down? His kind never go down. These aren't the Nixon days when the country actually cared a bit more about the country than it's sad political tribe. Besides, conservatives and the GOP are experiencing such an identity crisis anymore that they would rather define themselves through a Trump than a McCain. What does conservative even mean any more?

And don't worry cons. The Left would rather see Hillary as their liberal champion than a Bernie Sanders. So what does liberal even mean anymore? The way I see it, both sides betrayed their values last year. But only conservatives stood shoulder to shoulder with extremists and supremacists as hate became the theme of the campaign. Women have periods = cheeeeers! Military POWs are losers = cheeeeers! And it is conservatives now who feel that they have to pretend that a man like Trump represents them. A picture could emerge showing Trump giving Putin a hand job and the party of "family values" and "good Christian virtue" would blame "fake news" for being unfair.

The Free Beacon, funded in large part by the New York hedge fund billionaire Paul Singer, hired the firm, Fusion GPS, in 2015 to unearth damaging information about several Republican presidential candidates, including Mr. Trump. But The Free Beacon told the firm to stop doing research on Mr. Trump in May 2016, as Mr. Trump was clinching the Republican nomination.

Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee had begun paying Fusion GPS in April for research that eventually became the basis for the dossier.

The Free Beacon informed the House Intelligence Committee on Friday that it had retained the firm. That committee is one of a number of congressional committees investigating Russian attempts to disrupt the 2016 election and whether there was any collusion with Mr. Trump’s associates.
