Government report calls on Trump to act on climate change

Um, no. We aren't in it because it is not in our national interest to be in it. It was a typical liberal feel-good initiative that would accomplish exactly zero and would have let the usual suspects sign on but ignore their obligations.

Well it is a reality and the evidence is clear- we contribute to GW.

Unfortunately climate change is going to once again take a back seat until a worthy leader can take up the issue. Right now we just need to survive this term and mitigate the damage.

Sounds familiar... Oh, yeah, we did that for the last eight years, survive and mitigate the damage.

Al Gore month electric bill is 20x higher than a normal electric bill in a year.
according to his own electric bill records.

his average electric bill is in the 20-30k dollar range per year.

there you have it. live like i say not as i do.

That’s it? Al Gore represents the environmental movement? One persons alleged hypocrisy invalidates what 190 countries ageed to? What is his side of the story? I assume he has a big house.

again there are others out there as well. He is just an example.
I however do not need to list all of them for my point to be valid.

If you want to pay 10x more for your electric bill then go ahead. I certain can't afford it and i can't
afford all these pie in the sky plans that do that.

more so when the results of said plans are bunk.

yet another fraud and scam.

Actually my electric bills are tiny since we installed solar panels, which also cut down on gas bills since our car is a partial plug in. We got a tax credit for the panels plus my son will get better price for the house when we are gone, given our sacrifice to install the panels.

The way I see it, this is like previous history with tobacco, acid rain, the ozone layer, and smog. There will be fits and starts, foolishness and hypocrisy, overreactions and heads in the sand. If the evidence gathered thus far turns out to be wrong or overstated we can adjust again. In the meantime, we can clean up the air and water a bit more. Maybe all the countries in the world are wrong, all the scientists on a phony bandwagon. Prove it to enough of us and we can reverse course.

Btw, where did you get the Gore info and what is his side of the story?

glad you have the money I don't and neither do a lot of other people. Sorry I don't have 30-40k laying around for solar panels.

The info came from his electric bills. He was called out before about having huge electric bills as well. It doesn't matter what his side of the story is. He demands other people I've a certain way but refuses to do so himself.

And you go on an irrelevant tangent about clean water and air. Has 0 to do with what is being said.
Please stay on topic.

“Doesn’t matter what his side of the story is”? Hope you never get called to jury duty. And solar did not cost us not 30k, but 14... the tax credit reduced it to 10k or so, and the payments were spread out. Clean water is relevant. Ask people near the streams that Trump’s EPA now allows to be recepticals for waste from coal mines. And less burning of fossil fuels means less air pollution. Cleaner air and water is a by-product of action to address climate change. It has its problems, notably the killing of birds by windmills, but on balance taking action on climate change is a positive. Better than drill baby drill.

Which is irrelevant to the fact that he consumes way more energy than other people yet goes on tangents about people energy consumption.

it is not relevant to this topic which is people wanting to jack up energy prices on working class people who can't afford it.
Climate is supposed to change. this is a given fact and there is nothing you can do to stop it.

If you are talking about global warming then that is an entirely different thing all together.
Do not confuse the terms.
