George W. Bush Slams 'Bigotry,' Politics Of Populism That Led To Trump, Sanders : NPR

"Bigotry seems emboldened," Bush said in New York at a forum put on by the George W. Bush Institute. "Our politics seems more vulnerable to conspiracy theories and outright fabrication."

Bush or Trump? Who do you love?

The MSM is gobbling this up with a spork. I'd like to offer this alternative headline:

Man who sent 7,000 Americans off to their deaths and profitted financially says 'haterz' have to go

true but he was not a disaster as a human being.

Trump is.

Just a disaster for the 7,000 dead American soldiers, and 100k dead Iraqis. But Trump 'hatez Mixicans'! He must be a worse human than Bush.

true but he was not a disaster as a human being. Trump is.

These GOP posters quick to throw away Bush/Cheney voted for them ...

So you've gone so completely over to Trump worship that now you hate Bush.

Kelly's smears were done to placate a Nuclear trump ...

We disagree on that but this is about what to degree we should listen to Bush as a leader in politics, after he was one of the worst Presidents ever, to include McCain being the parties standard bearer on his watch, a really weak candidate. What ever he is in his personal life Bush has no credibility here.

I've disliked Bush for many years. Something about destroying the Middle East & getting 7k Americans killed just stuck in my craw. Bush saying,'oopsie, my bad' doesn't win me over for some reason.

W Bush seems to be "evolving" still the Disgrace of Iraq and the Financial Meltdown will stain his legacy

This thread cracks me up already.

When Obama was in office, right-wingers claimed GWB had done no wrong and Obama was destroying all the 'good' he had done, all the 'progress' he'd made.

:lamo

Yups...it's kinda like Democrats throwing Hillary under the bus because they wanted Bernie Sanders to win. It does happen.

Wow you know you're a POS president when even bush knows you're a failure!!!

Amazing. The same Cons who defending and loved Bush and refused to blame him for ANYthing bad that happened on his watch are now throwing Bsuh under the bus because he criticized their Dear Leader, Trump.

I swear if Jesus Christ himself said something critical of Trump most Trumpsters would convert to Judaism.

The hold Trump has over his supporters is cult-like. At 1 of Trump rallies in the near future the people at the rally will show up in black sneakers, robes and barrels of kool-ade.

I agree his last year in office he did some decent things. It just took him that long to come to the realization that he was president not Cheney, who was up till now the crookedist politician in us history.

Bush has not seemed to be such a bad guy after he cut the strings of his handlers.

As a matter of fact he was. When a Black woman was begging for mercy and pleading her innocence, he laughed maniacally as she died a slow and painful death. It was witnessed by Tucker Carlson. It's hilarious how liberals are getting their moral cues from a man who waged war in Iraq which killed thousands of people and displaced millions more: a war waged for the sole purpose of military contractor profiteering. It's no wonder that liberals find solace in Stalin's teachings and methods.

Poor truthatallcost, the man who overthrew your idol is criticizing your pathological hatred. It's a double whammy.

Its funny trying to watch the Trumpettes...who also love GWB....try to deal with this. They are struggling...truly struggling.

Truly, none of you right-wingers will have much trouble if you really want to tear down GWB further. I wont put up a struggle.

This.

It is really sad watching these two Bush/Obama "We reject the politics of division" even as it was their leadership that left us so divided, even though they so often practiced the politics of division. Both of these two also willfully neglected huge parts of America, the objection to that being what drove Trump to the POTUS chair. We are left to decide if these words come from ignorance or if it rather is from lies.

To be fair cult-like adulation is all they can really do. There is no rational way to support Trump and there never has been. Speaking of converting to Judaism, I wonder if Ivanka says "Merry Christmas"?
