Sometimes realty comes into play

The Associated Press notes that three cargo jets have been destroyed since 2006 in fires related to battery explosions. Four pilots have died, though it has yet to cause a major incident on a passenger plane since that time.

They're talking about checked bagged. Not carry one. And it makes sense for the reasons that the article points out. Aside from that why anyone would put a delicate electronics in checked luggage is beyond me.
 
It's checked bags. Who checks their laptops?

Carry 'em on, problem solved.
