A federal judge on Tuesday largely blocked the Trump administration from implementing the latest version of the president’s controversial travel ban, setting up yet another legal showdown on the extent of the executive branch’s powers when it comes to setting immigration policy.

The decision from Judge Derrick K. Watson in Hawaii is sure to be appealed, but for now, it means that the administration cannot restrict the entry of travelers from six of the eight countries that officials said were either unable or unwilling to provide information the U.S. wanted to vet their citizens.

The latest ban was set to fully go into effect in the early morning hours of October 18, barring various types of travelers from Syria, Libya, Iran, Yemen, Chad, Somalia, North Korea and Venezuela. Watson’s order stops it, at least temporarily, with respect to all the countries except North Korea and Venezuela.

He wasn't even able to implement it most of that time... What is actually unconstitutional about this travel ban?
 
Why is anyone surprised? It's a liberal judge again trying to stop something that is clearly within the power of the executive. It will be reversed. We've already seen that the bed wetting liberals will try anything, even the same stupid stunt that didn't work in the past, again.

Trump is the one beating a dead horse. He wanted two months to fix immigration he has had eight months so immigration is fixed so requesting the travel ban is pointless since he's already done what he said he needed it for.

It's the 9th circuit, what do you expect. I would not be surprised for DOJ to ask for an emergency order from the Supreme Court staying this order.
This ruling absolutely will not stand.

Legal analysts had said those challenging the latest travel ban would face an uphill battle. That was particularly because the measure was only put into effect after an extensive process in which the United States negotiated with other countries for information.

This order is not an extension of either of the earlier bans. It is a new set of criteria based on the findings from the reviews requested with EO1 and 2.

Actually...the only people that are 'completely ****ing clueless' are the people that actually WANT refugees coming in from those countries. Some things you cant 'figure out'...like a country that refuses to participate in a vetting process, or a country that is incapable of participating in a vetting process. Thing is...Obama was smart enough to see that. You would think most mindless twat leftists that are hell bent on fighting Trump on this ONLY because it is Trrrrrrruuuuuuuummmmmmmmmppppppp!!!!!! would ****ing know better.

Newp, that doesn't make him a liberal no matter how much you wish it did. Innumerable lawyers do pro-bono work. Their firms require it. He describes himself as independent, was a prosecutor and served in the military.

You seem awfully confused about this. Sorry you couldn't back up your claim.
