Raqqa falls

Trumps not the one who gave a speech on 2011 declaring that Iraq was ( stable, sovergn and democratic ) only to pull out all US military asets and never back as ISIS ran roughshod over once liberated Iraqi cities killing men, women and children.

Obama did, and his indifference didnt stop there. Hillary Clinton in a leaked State Department document admitted that ISIS and the Muslim Brotherhood were driving the insurgency in Syria.

ISIS was allowed to grow in numbers and in strength in Syria by the Obama administrarion so they could be used as leverage against Assad.

This was just a continuation of Obama's larger ME agenda outlined in a Presidential study directive called PSD- 11
Obama rolls dice on foreign policy in secretive presidential directive

Given the mess the Obama administration and Hillary created in the ME over the last 8 years you guys arw going to have a real hard time ripping Trump on policy

Okie dokie Fenton! Did you intentionally cite two RWN sources in your post and not even think to factor GW's role in Middle East chaos?

I see you still like to spew fiction into some kind of believable political narrative. Have you sought out a publisher?

The New York Times....

Secret Report Ordered by Obama Identified Potential Uprisings ( PSD-11 )

Obama Ordered Secret Report on Unrest in Arab World - The New York Times

John Kerry's own words....

“We saw that Daesh (Islamic State) was growing in strength and we thought Assad wasn’t,” said Kerry, adding that “We could probably manage that Assad might then negotiate, but instead of negotiating he got Putin to support him.”

Kerry argued that Russia came into the conflict because of the growing strength of the Islamic State group. While he was heard saying that Russia “do not observe international law,” Kerry admitted that Russia “was invited in” to the Syrian conflict.

Doh! Three articles and three authors, Guy Taylor, Pete Hoekstra, and Mark Landler, each covering the same topic.... and one of the three using significantly less hyperbole!

If you believe Obama rolled the dice on Middle East Foreign Policy, crapped out, thus ISIS transformed from a mole hill into a Mountainous Force, then I know what kind of publications and fiction you like to rely on! Peace to you and yours Fenton! You still might find a market for your brand of rhetoric.

I dont think he rolled the dice at all. His ME agenda was clearly defined in a Presidential study directive.

LOL the battle for Raqqa started before Trump was elected... The destruction of ISIS started long before Trump was elected..

ISIS exist because of Obama.

Ah Fenton, that title on the 2nd link you provided (the Washington Examiner article by Pete Hoekstra) misled me:

Title: Obama rolls dice on foreign policy in secretive presidential directive -

... your plot thickens with a hint of subterfuge. Have you found a publisher?

It's always about the oil.

I wish we'd do a HUGE apollo project mission moving us towards renewable energy and then sell those inventions across the world so that the Middle East and Russia would be left so broke that they have to fight by throwing literal sticks and stones at one another.

That would be picking winners and losers.

Taking the lead in the world with big ideas is for other countries. We must spend our dollars subsidizing the old ways.

...
Dumb is also ignoring the consequences of a ME policy based on the Presidential Study Directive and the consequences of a policy that supported the Muslim Brotherhood under the pretense of spreading Democracy and freedom.

From the Muslim Brotherhoods rise in Egypt to the failed State of Lybia to Turkey's turning away from secular Democracy, the objectives were clear to see for anyone except Obama and Hillary supporters apparently

Reminds me of the thinking in Vietnam. We say we're for democracy, elections, but not if it will result in elections we don't like. With that thinking, GW made a similar mistake in the Iraqi elections, didn't he know that would help Iran?

Donald Rumsfeld denies he thought democracy in Iraq was 'realistic' goal

Paul Wolfowitz, a fellow member of the Project of the New American Century who served as deputy defense secretary in Rumsfeld’s Pentagon, predicted that Iraq would become the “first Arab democracy” that would “cast a very large shadow, starting with Syria and Iran, across the whole Arab world”.

I liked the line in the Ghandi movie
Gandhi: All nations contain religious minorities. Like other countries, ours will have its problems. But they will be ours -- not yours.
