Firm behind Trump dossier rejects subpoena

Not true according to CNN...Look one post up.

Sorry, but you should read the entire CNN piece
the subpoenas appear to be the latest fight in an investigation that has periodically been hobbled by controversy and infighting.

A Democratic committee source said "the subpoenas were issued unilaterally by the majority, without the minority's agreement and despite good faith engagement thus far by the witnesses on the potential terms for voluntary cooperation."

Indeed, the move blindsided some committee members, multiple sources told CNN.

Maybe. Even if not the pee tape, I'm sure there's other things there that aren't too complimentary toward Trump. You want that coming out?

If was, it would be public by now. Steele looked the idiot after his dosier got debunked. If there was anything there, he would have gone public with it to save face.

Of course Schiff is going to say that, he is a hack, and a shill for the 'resist' crap....Point is that the subpoena was legitimately requested, and lawfully issued....That Fusion is denying to comply should get them in hot water.

Elections have consequences, like not controlling the things a committee does when you don't have the votes to direct it.

What an interesting and, frankly, stupid assertion.

Pray tell, what makes him a 'hack'.

Please be very, very specific.

This is getting interesting. Representative Nunes, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, had recused himself from the Russia collusion investigation but seems to think he has extra powers to ask for info.

According to a related article at Business Insider, Fusion GPS has been cooperating with the Senate Intelligence Committee since July

What a sleaze bag operation Fusion GPS is.

As we thought, you don't know.

Nunes is the committee chairman. He absolutely has the authority to issue a subpoena.

No. He is recused from anything Russia related. A proper subpoena must be issued by the chairman (or in this case, acting chairman) and the vice-chairman. That wasn't done. The company is cooperating with the Senate Intelligence Committee at the moment, and has indicated they will be (or perhaps already have) cooperating with Mueller's investigation.

Nunes is a Trump waterboy, a nobody, who has repeatedly followed his boss's bad orders, which conflict with long-established congressional procedures.

Now if you'll excuse me, I've wasted enough time here.

The best explanation I've heard so far: Dossier Firm’s Lawyers Accuse Devin Nunes Of ‘Unprofessional Conduct’ – Talking Points Memo

There is no acting chairman. Nunes is the chairman.

So in your opinion, the Senate Intelligence Committee is little more than a liberal-led operation trying to create 'evidence' against our Glorious Leader, Donald J Trump?

IMO, Fusion GPS is a sleaze bag operation, hired by a bunch of sleaze bags, to produce a sleazy, garbage report.

Glad to read your opinion, I don't think it's worth very much as you seem to be refusing to respond to the ever so small fact that the "sleaze bag operation" IS cooperating with the Senate Committee. Now, why might that be? Couldn't possibly be that the Senate Committee has actually acted in a rational manner while the leader of the House Committee has been shown to show little ethics other than acting as a lickspittle to the Orange Cheeto - now could it?

Let the chips fall, but this supposed dossier has been discredited, and like it or not Nunes is the Chairman of the House intel committee, He has the authority to issue subpoena's and as CNN reported these subpoena's were requested by the republican now heading the investigation.

Well, it's already been discredited...for YOU. But then you wouldn't believe what it said if it was negative for Trump anyway.

Fair enough...This video shows you exactly why Schiff is a political clown.....

I have no problem rocket, believing credible reports....But THIS?! smh...

Look, I get it, Oppo research goes on all the time between party's and candidates, some of it credible, some of it just plain laughable crap. This was the latter....And progressive liberals are spitting mad on a couple of fronts. 1. They are mad as hell that the DNC was actively throwing the primary in favor of Clinton, when they so wanted Bernie. 2. They are upset to the brink of mental illness that Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton, hell, sometimes I can't believe it myself... Trump wasn't my choice, but I damned sure wasn't going to vote for Clinton....

You're not a dumb guy rocket, so you know full well that this dossier put together as oppo research was meant to be used by the Clinton team like oppo research is typically used...They were to pour through the assertions in it, and pick out which assertions to use, which to save for a later time, and which that are too far out there to consider using (hookers peeing on a hotel bed in Russia)...The fact that this particular dossier is now the catalyst for a full blown investigation on several fronts is straight up ridiculous....And tax payers should be stomping mad that money is being wasted, and obstruction of the platform that they voted for in record numbers is being thwarted by establishment players on BOTH sides that instead of getting something done for the country are pushing this never ending soap opera down our throats, costing millions, if not billions all in hopes of overturning the peoples electoral will.

It is pathetic, and sad what progressive, and establishment, corrupt governmental members have taken this great country to....

Of course it's opposition research. Trump did that on Hillary too (remember Junior's meeting with the Russians?). That doesn't make everything automatically untrue though.

By this statement alone, we really don't have anything to discuss.

Indeed. By you posting something that doesn't show him to be a hack, it pretty much ended right there.

Intectual honesty: learn it, live it, love it.

Nothing that I am aware of yet directly, either within that phony dossier, or otherwise, shows President Trump to be in any sort of collusion with the Russian government in winning the 2016 election....All there is so far is smoke....

So, I guess I am saying that it doesn't automatically make it true either.
