Russian President Vladimir Putin with close personal friend -- Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska

LONDON — Paul Manafort, a former campaign manager for President Donald Trump, has much stronger financial ties to a Russian oligarch than have been previously reported. An NBC News investigation reveals that $26 million changed hands in the form of a loan between a company linked to Manafort and the oligarch, Oleg Deripaska, a billionaire with close ties to the Kremlin. The loan brings the total of their known business dealings to around $60 million over the past decade, according to financial documents filed in Cyprus and the Cayman Islands.

NBC News reported in June that the business relationship between Deripaska and Manafort began in 2007. According to The Wall Street Journal, they worked together to further Russian interests in Georgia. Manafort then went on to spend nearly a decade working as a consultant for a pro-Russian political party in Ukraine. Deripaska was described in a 2006 U.S. diplomatic cable as “among the 2-3 oligarchs Putin turns to on a regular basis.”

According to investigators, Russian oligarch and Putin crony Oleg Deripaska used Cyprus banks to launder millions in payments (euphemistically called loans) to Manafort. Some of the laundered funds were then transferred to a Delaware limited-liability corporation called Jesand LLC (which bears a strong resemblance to the names of Manafort’s daughters, Jessica and Andrea) and used to purchase a $2.5 million condo in New York in 2007.

Manafort is a Dirt Bag.....Time for the Feds to squeeze him...Make him talk....To help bring down trump

They're going to have to come up with something better than this.

More evidence that whatever Manafort was up to, he was up to long before he ever met Trump.

What he was up to was sucking up wealth as the elite class do, but see he worked with both Russians and Trump and so he is going to get hanged.

The assuming that Manafort never says anything bad about Trump and I dont thing he will the TRUMP HATERS will claim "Trump had to know, he must be dirty too" even though these very same people have been claiming for well over a year that Trump is a moron...constancy is not their thing.

They probably have more evidence against trump and his goons colluding with the Russians,...But Manafort is a good start...Time to squeeze him

They need to find an actual crime, first.

Yeah it's not like he was Trump's campaign manager or anything..

He did the job Kellyanne did, let's be honest, he was never an actual campaign manager.

And her title was Campaign Manager. Actually though, Manafort wasn't just the campaign manager, he was the campaign chairman and chief strategist, running the entire Trump campaign for the Summer of 2016.

Really?.....You going with that defense?.....He was trump's go to guy...The guy with the Russian connections

"Tick, tock, tick, tock"

You know, Kushner really isn't a son; he's a son-in-law!

"Tick, tock, tick, tock"

Donald Jr. is a Trump, but he's not the father!

"Tick, tock, tick, tock"

BAM!

That's the fantasy version.....the reality version is that Trump was convinced by others that he needed a campaign manager, he decided on Manafort because he has been around a long time and is very good but has not been a Washington insider for a lot of years, but once Trump had a campaign manager he never wanted to give up doing the managing himself. Stuff was delegated to Manafort but he never ran anything, and never provided a whole lot of value either but Trump was fine with that......till he got to be too much trouble because of the Ukraine rumors.

And now certainly Manafort is sorry that he ever got involved, because he is going to get taken down for doing as a lot of folks do except he worked for Trump and the TRUMP HATERS are dedicated to burning America down to burn Trump out....they assume that he has dirt on Trump that almost certainly does not exist but they are going to beat the living tar out of Manafort looking for it.

Mercenaries are in the pocket of whoever pays them the best, so the accusation of manafort being in the pocket of someone else is still valid.

Only so long as the money is getting paid. Notice how pretty much none of these stories talk about when this all happened, which is a really good clue that this relationship was a decade ago and irrelevant in the matter of Trump being elected, but the ends justify the means, the Elite Class will pretend otherwise all day long if the pretending gets them to where they want to go.

And it is all about where they want to go, getting their egos stroked, getting their will fulfilled.

Truth does not matter to them, not anymore.

Nor CIVILITY.

Nor Justice.

$60 million is not pocket change ... it buys a lifelong commitment.

Do you have a lifelong commitment to your bank and employer?

Do you do what they tell you to in the rest of your life?

If not then why should Manafort be different?

The CIA, FBI, and NSA all say that Russia tried to influence our election on Trump's behalf. We know for a fact that Trump's campaign met with a Kremlin agent with the promise of getting dirt on Hillary. Trump's own National Security Adviser was compromised by the Russians, and even after being alerted to that, Trump sat on it doing nothing while Flynn kept sitting in on top secret briefings and continued to have access to the most classified information our government has until it was finally leaked to the press that he was compromised and Trump then was forced to fire him. Of course Trump had nothing but nice things to say about Putin during the entire campaign, despite Putin being a murderous dictator, and Trump even went so far as to compare the United States to Putin's murderous actions. Now we know that Trump's campaign manager and chief strategist, Manafort, had a 60 million dollar relationship with a Russian oligarch.

Yeah, nothing to see here.

"During a heated Fox Business interview with Maria Bartiromo, Hillary Clinton’s former campaign chief John Podesta made a series of misleading statements when questioned about his involvement in a company that received $35 million from the Russian government while Clinton served as secretary of state.

On Jan. 18, 2011, a small green-energy company named Joule Unlimited announced Podesta’s appointment to its board. Months later, Rusnano, a Kremlin-backed investment fund founded by Vladimir Putin, pumped $35 million into Joule. Serving alongside Podesta on Joule’s board were senior Russian official Anatoly Chubais and oligarch Ruben Vardanyan, who has been appointed by Putin to a Russian economic modernization council.

Bartiromo asked Podesta why he failed to disclose his role in Joule as required by law when he entered the White House in January 2014 to serve as counselor to President Barack Obama.

“Maria, that’s not true. I fully disclosed and was completely compliant,” Podesta shot back.

But according to his own financial disclosure form, Podesta only listed two of the three entities that made up Joule Unlimited, failing to disclose his presence on the board of the Dutch-registered Stichting Joule Global Foundation.

When Bartiromo pressed Podesta on the whereabouts of his 75,000 shares of Joule stock, Podesta resorted to Clintonesque semantics: “I didn’t have any stock in any Russian company!”

Notice the rhetorical sleight of tongue there: Joule is based in Massachusetts, not Russia, making Podesta’s statement technically true. Podesta added: “And by the way, I divested before I went into the White House.”

Yet again, it’s not that simple. WikiLeaks documents reveal that when he joined the Obama White House, Podesta transferred his Joule shares to an LLC controlled by his adult children. He also resumed communicating with Joule and Joule investors after leaving the White House and joining Clinton’s campaign. In fact, he received an invoice from his lawyers in April 2015 — a consent request for Dmitry Akhanov of Rusnano USA to join Joule’s board.

But nothing to see here, Podesta insisted."

Nothing indeed....

The FBI needs to squeeze this ass hole Manafort....Make him squeal about trump and the Russians or else

I just checked. No, they still haven't transferred $60 million into my accounts.

And trump was warned by obama about it and decided, "meh... I'll appoint him anyways."
