Colin Kaepernick files lawsuit against the NFL accusing owners of colluding against him

1. It's not incumbent on the Owners to prove their innocent of collusion if I understand correctly. That would be asking them to prove a negative "Prove you're not colluding!"

2. Football is a business, and pure stats do not make up the entire notion of it. Do you know that when talking stats, that Tim Tebow has a better playoffs record than the highest paid quarterback in the NFL? Clearly, Tim Tebow is being colluded against! .... or perhaps stats are manipulative things that can be massaged or looked at in different ways to see different things, and ultimately are but one piece of a larger puzzle.

For example, take the QBR argument. Note that Robert Griffin III had a higher QBR last year than others currentl yemployed and even starting, like Jacoby Brissett, Case Keenum, and EJ Manual. Do the owners need to prove they're not colluding against Robert Griffin as well? No, because like Kaepernick (But in some different ways), Griffin's stats don't tell the whole story of why a team may find that a particular other option is a better one than him.

then he needs to provide evidence and not assumptions.
No there isn't. He hasn't performed that is why he was cut. Look at his QBR ratings i posted.

2013 QBR 67.3
2014 58.1
2015 43.7
2106 49.2.

teams are better off training up their backups than going with him. There is nothing that says because he played he has to be drafted.
He is not drafted because he is not that great of a QB. When you add everything else on top of it then he basically just ousted himself
out of a job.

there isn't any collusion. his bad QB play and his actions on and off the field have put him here it has nothing to do with owners or coaches.
there are reasons the these teams draft backups. he is a 3rd string QB on any given day. so unless a team only has 2 QB's and both get hurt.
he is not going to be drafted.

You are a pretty talented guy... in addition to knowing much about law, economics and taxation, it appears you also have some NFL coaching experience. I am in awe.

Me, I prefer to enlist experts to help me see things more clearly.

Colin may have a case or he may not. That is why we have courts.

One thing for sure, is that YOU do not know. Humble yourself a little pal, its more becoming and people are more likely respect what you have to say.

No kidding.
Nothing like claiming collusion without evidence.
Spitting in the face of 32 owners will get 0 job offers. 0.

but now that he has filed, his representative will be able to access the teams'/owners' files to see if there was any collusion by/between the owners to exclude kaepernick from getting a job

and if there is any sign collusion existed - and the likelihood the owners did conspire against him does exist - the CBA will have to be negotiated from scratch, costing the owners Billion$
this could be a very expensive practice on their part

So instead of actually address anything you just shout at the sky got it.

It is pretty clear that no team wants to sign him. that is not collusion. even if it was it is not illegal. they do not have to sign him and there is nothing
the courts can do to make a team pick him up.

teams are able to sign or not sign whoever they want to.
sorry you don't like it but that is how business works.

collusion is not a crime.
you need to realize this and stop using words you don't understand.

there is no law or agreement that says they have to sign anyone.

just ask all the free agents etc ... that do not go signed.

He's nothing but an attention seeker. Funny how the huge majority of these people taking a knee are losers on losing teams. SF is 0-6. They need to take the publicity away from how badly they play and that's why they do it.

Then show stats on who kneels, who does not along with team standings.
I will wait with the patience of a vulture for you to produce this

The CBA prohibits collusion

The CBA prohibits collusion

there isn't one. he can't prove it either.
the fact is he doesn't have the value that any owner wants just like every other un-drafted un-signed player out there.

Yeah, this ought to be good....He's demanding that a team hire him? BWHAAAAA!

There are a bunch of teams that SUCK...They could use him...But won't sign him...So they will continue to SUCK

RG3 was given a second chance with the Browns. Vince Young, Tim Tebow, EJ Manuel even Ryan Leaf. All of these Qb's were given at least a second contract with another team. How does CK not deserve a second chance from a football perspective?

it may well be that all 32 owners/GMs have individually come to the conclusion that CK does not have the right stuff for their respective teams
in which case CK will need to look elsewhere for his next career
but that there are QBs being hired who are often viewed as lesser than what CK offers allows one to see the possibility that CK is being denied an opportunity to play for some reason other than his diminished QB skills
i look forward to seeing how this plays out
betting on the owners is not a sure thing

I like Kap, and I think his kneeling is a good thing so this isn't political. Anyhow, a bad team signing Kap is still a bad team. He might be good enough to keep an already good team competitive, but he isn't making a bad team good. And if he isn't making a bad team good, what is the point? Might as well developer your cheap or young guys and hope to find a diamond.

His kneeling is a good thing for who ? It definately not a good thing for the NFL or even the social justice agenda for that matter

People that support him and the protest are living in a fantasy world if they think half empty stadiums and falling ratings and revenues are a good thing

They are not required to....The owners of those teams own the position, NOT CK!

i remember similar talk years back
seems there was this black woman who had the temerity to refuse to sit in the back of a bus
the majority of folks pondered the same question you just asked
why would she do such a thing
what good could her act of defiance possibly accomplish

Hi bubba,

Won't that be a sad day....Look, bottom line, just because CK once was good enough to get a spot on an NFL team does not mean that he OWN's the job from there forward...IF a team doesn't want him there, then guess what? He is not hired....Simple as that.

Besides, CK is a one trick pony, only good at running an offense system that is outdated, and NO ONE else uses....So, he is just simply NOT good enough anymore....He should move on and seek his next career.

actually, it is NOT as simple as that
CK is a member of the NFL players union
as a member, he is covered by the CBA negotiated and signed by the owners and players (representatives)
that CBA establishes that the owners cannot collude to bar a player from playing in the NFL
CK obviously believes there has been collusion, likely because there are many QBs in the league who statistically cannot hold his jock strap
so, under the CBA provisions, CK and his representatives now have the oppostunity to see for themselves if there are any indicators of collusion
and it is notable that if any evidence of collusion is found, the CBA, in its current form, evaporates. the owners and players union will have to start from scratch to create a new labor-management contract. i doubt the owners want that result to occur
so, if there is evidence of the collusion to be found, the owners are making an expensive bet they can keep that evidence away from CK and the NFLPA

Besides, CK is a one trick pony, only good at running an offense system that is outdated, and NO ONE else uses....So, he is just simply NOT good enough anymore....He should move on and seek his next career.
and if there is no collusion to be found, this is as good an explanation why CK has not been hired as any

His career in the NFL is over, even though he wants to play so badly as not only as the quarterback nor the star athlete of the team he would play for, but THE poster boy of the football (pee wee, middle school, high school, college, and professional, even when you're out with your buddies at a park or something). He's just that much of a narcissist, and believes he'll get the owners to see things his way with this lawsuit because he believes he's that great. This whole thing with the protests have always been there, for the lack of a better phrase, in spirit. What S#!* For Brains doesn't understand (or maybe he does) is he was the instigator in all this, and one of the reasons why the NFL is failing right now. If he really thinks that he's going to be THE one to come in and save the NFL from it's plummeting ratings, he would find out quickly that even more people will tune out at the sheer mention he's coming back (I can't even imagine how many would stop watching if he did).

The NFL is a business. Their goal is to entertain people. I don't think the vast majority of fans and viewers don't have a problem with players expressing their religious beliefs because it does have an effect on how they prepare for the game to a degree. That's as far as it goes with personal beliefs. Politics, bashing on the cops, the military, the flag, and the country are NOT permitted. Taking a knee is the representation of that today. Also, they are breaking a rule that the NFL has established (but hasn't enforced, obviously): The players, during the time of the anthem, must stand up, with their right hand over their hearts, with their helmets in the left hand/arm, and must face the flag. I understand the whole "the NFL would be violating the players' 1st Amendment rights". However, in a work environment, you do give up that right in exchange to provide services for your customer, so you can make a living and provide for yourself and, if you have one, your family. Also, it affects the people you work around as well, so you really need to be quiet.

Now your employers are not saying give up what you believe entirely because they understand their employees have their opinions when it comes to politics, and their okay with voicing your opinions on your own time. However, if you get into that stuff within your work environment, you begin to lose customers. It'll start out small, but if you continue it, the small number of customers will turn into masses over time. Throughout that time, the business will also begin to lose money as a result. Big or small, that is how business works universally, and that formula has never changed and it never will. Again, religious beliefs are an entirely different matter. As a matter fact, customers actually really like and respect that.

Lol !!
Kapernick, the modern day Rosa Parks ?

Oh poor oppressed Kapernick....:lamo

Kapernick was rewarded with a RECORD 7 year 126 million dollar contract by the " racist " 49ers owners after leading the team to two consecutive NFC chamionship games.

He was payer 40 MILLION dollars before flaking out so I beg your side to please oh please run with this retarded Rosa Parks narrative

It has brought attention to a good issue that should be having more conversations around it. To your other point, I don't care if the NFL looses any money. I really don't. I think those owners will be ok. I am far more concerned with issues that actually matter like racial injustices.
