In one week!!!

More than a thousand Islamic State fighters passed through that room this past week... Instead of the martyrdom they had boasted was their only acceptable fate, they had voluntarily ended up here in the interrogation center of the Kurdish authorities in northern Iraq.

Since the beginning of the Iraqi offensive two weeks earlier, they had spent most of the time burrowed in foxholes to escape the relentless American bombing and shelling by advancing Iraqi forces, and had passed days without sanitary facilities or food.

1. That is called "WINNING".

2. What to do with these scum. I'd personally like them interrogated for a couple years, and then executed, but the bad will of a mass extermination of this vermin wouldn't make good PR. Life in prison, with parole at 80 if you live that long. Special prisons for terrorists only. Do not want this scum mixing with others.

Execute the leadership, and worst of these assholes.

Too bad these assholes didn't commit mass suicide. It would save a lot of people a lot of cost and trouble.

Half the guys in ISIS, maybe more, are on some covert US payroll. Healthcare in Israel, payroll from CIA black budgets. Don't worry, they will survive, or not, just like the rest of us.

Defeats of ISIS are always good news. Of course, the war on terror will never be over, but this time at least evil is on the run.

I certainly wouldn't want the US handling the prisoners. As a matter of fact, I think it would be best to turn the full couple or thousand over to the court in The Hague and see how Europeans do it.

They are definitely a hot potato. More so than Trump realizes, I fear. So I doubt that will happen.

This is a huge relief to me. There are important reasons why ISIS defeat is a huge HUGE win, far beyond simply crushing another terrorist org. As the first org to claim to be the Caliphate of Islamic prophecy, they were an inspiration to terrorism far beyond their actual size and territorial holdings.

This will actually help in many ways, and over time (as their defeat becomes more total) we should see some level of decrease in terrorist activity.

Had we done nothing and allowed ISIS to grow and persist, the results could have been very bad indeed.
