But an even higher % disapprove of them being fired. (meaning no consequences. To me that is acknowledging their 1A rights)

Actually you jumped into the middle of a conversation to challenge the claim. I in tilly said to another poster that people were offended by the protest. He said many more were not and I pointed out that the majority of people are. You jumped in to challenge my claim.

Most people understand that everyone has a right to protest free of consequence from the gov. We also understand the league could stop the players but choose not to. Just because you have the right does not mean how you exercise that right can't be offensive. In this case it is. Some of us have decided to not watch what we find offensive.
