Elon Musk sniffs at fuel cells, calling them highly inefficient compared to battery-powered vehicles, but GM is betting big on the technology:

GM sent a ripple across the web on Monday with the attention-grabbing announcement of its “path to zero emissions” plan, which includes an impressive lineup of at least 20 electric vehicles by 2023. To the casual observer, that means a head-on collision with Tesla, but GM adds an interesting twist. Instead of only offering battery-powered EVs, GM will include a healthy dose of EVs that run on hydrogen fuel cells.

General Motors is going all electric.

That's what the automaker said on Monday, as it unveiled plans to roll out two new electric vehicles over the next 18 months and a total of 20 over the next six years.​

Of course, this is the generation that doesn't eat cereal because it's just too much work to clean the bowl. Better to just blame corporations and pat yourself on the back for doing your part to save the planet.
