"I told Rex Tillerson, our wonderful Secretary of State, that he is wasting his time trying to negotiate with Little Rocket Man...," Trump tweeted, adding, "...Save your energy Rex, we'll do what has to be done!"

Can we impeach this clown now, before he costs us thousands, if not millions, of lives? :doh

Maybe the prospect of nuclear war will deflect the criticism of the Puerto Rico relief effort!
Gotta love Twitter!

NK does have trillions of mineral wealth we need to get at.

As long as we don't watch football, Puerto Rico will be fine!

After the mushroom cloud, how long will we have to wait for all the new JOBS, JOBS, JOBS?

There is no defense for this.

Tillerson is already on the bubble about sticking around, from what I've heard. I wonder if this will be his final push to exit.

Tillerson is at least trying to act like a diplomat...trump is a loud mouth piece of shiit

I'm not interested in appeasement efforts.

History, including that of our "relations" with N. Korea, has shown that when you appease dictators it only whets their appetite for more.

In virtually every other historical scenario that type of diplomacy has eventually led to war anyway, as dictators assume any sign of weakness is their opportunity to take more and more.

It is when dictator's are refused, and from a position of strength, that they tend to back down.

I guess we know that he wants war with NoKo

When he was first hired I never thought I'd get to the point where I hoped and prayed Tillerson would stick around. He has actually done an okay job considering the political environment. Also, I could only imagine who Trump would put in his place (God forbid it is anyone like John Bolton).

Tillerson is safe so long as his boss doesn’t tell us that “he is a good guy, I really like him!” If we hear that Rex is walking the plank within six hours tops!

Yeah, I think he'll leave before he is fired.

trump just likes to run his mouth...The Military does not want a war.....Tillerson is actually acting (or attempting to )like a secretary of state...trump is a loud mouth ass hole...Unfit to be President

Without trilateral (US/NK/China) diplomatic initiatives and efforts, Trump reduces US options to a binary choice...

1) Accept the nuclear/ballistic WMD capability of North Korea.

2) Preemptive/incident-driven kinetic actions to forcibly destroy Pyongyang's WMD capability.

So I take it, Captain, you are on board for war with North Korea? Trump has no problem appeasing dictators as long as they are on Team Trump. Just look at Saudi Arabia and the Philippines.

Why do you assume Tillerson's negotiation efforts amount to appeasement? And what is Trump implying?

Yeah, I think he'll leave before he is fired.

They all “leave” before they are fired. DJT seems to avoid his catch phrase from TV, “you’re fired!”

Turkey! All good friends of mine!

We've diplomatted 70 years away. NK is a greater problem today than 70 years ago. And now NK has nukes and the means to deliver them. And that didn't happen on Now President Trumps watch. Trump is most probably correct.

I am on board with drawing a line in the sand saying we've had enough of this nonsense.

Had the "Allies" done that when Hitler had re-occupied the Rhineland...IMO WWII would never have occurred. Or at least it would have been over swiftly with a German defeat in months with tens of thousands of casualties rather than over years with tens of millions of casualties.

Why do you assume Tillerson's negotiation efforts amount to appeasement? And what is Trump implying?

Anything that suggests "we'll give you this if you just don't do that" is appeasement in this particular scenario. Isn't that what got us to this point with N. Korea, prior appeasements thinking we were dealing with a sane leadership?

North Korea is looking for deal (getting US Military to reduced forces in the South)...So they bluster and bluff...trump took the bait and shouted back like a complete idiot....Most South Koreans would like to the US Military leave so they can deal with North Korea on their own.Without the US and the loud mouth trump making things worse....Believe it

Drawing parallels to Hitler is intellectually lazy and just wrong, these situations are not the same.

And while we're talking red lines, your idiot in chief, the guy you defend no matter what, made ludicrous threats against DPRK he was never prepared to carry out, which is pretty shockingly dumb.

But don't worry mate, I'll let you get back to your highwire mental gymnastics trapeze act of defending the utter, utter, utter contemptible moron that sits in the White House.

No, most South Koreans would really rather not have to deal with the massed artillery pointed at their capital, not to mention nuclear weapons, on their own.
