Terrorism suspected in Edmonton attack that leaves 5 injured | Fox News

A police officer was stabbed and at least four people were injured by a speeding U-Haul truck in events that police in Edmonton, Canada, said were being investigated as acts of terror.

One suspect was in custody, said Edmonton Police Chief Rod Knecht, adding that police believe the suspect acted alone.
Another attack, suspected terror but they did find an ISIL flag in one vehicle.Hope all recover.
Not much info available so hard to state more at this time

Who would have thought that there would be terrorism in Edmonton? Why there?

Quick! Bring teddy bears! Light candles! Weep! Wail! Then go on your way till next time.

" This has nothing to do with Islam "..

Barack Hussein Obama

And that neo nazi who ran over the girl had nothing to do with conservatism or christianity.

Large Muslim population in Edmonton/Calgary.

The local Muslim community leaders are condemning the attacks and standing in solidarity with the injured and the greater Edmonton community. Edmonton, Albertan and Canadian officials are all saying that such attacks are designed to spread fear, alienate people from one another and fracture society so solidarity between all Canadians regardless of ethnic origin and creed is the way to thwart such attacks. The prime suspect, a thirty-year old man who was "known to police" was arrested ALIVE and is being questioned by police and security agents, so at some point the whole story will likely come out. The police officer struck and stabbed by the assailant was discharged from hospital and is now at home with his family. The officer was very lucky indeed! Not so lucky is one of the four pedestrians struck by the assailant in his follow-on attacks while being chased by police. That pedestrian is still in critical condition at last notice which I read.

Moderate and considered responses to such lone-wolf terrorism are the best way to protect society from both the fear and division sown by the attacker but also from over-reaction and security over-reach by the state. France, the US, Australia and most of the world should be vigilant and proactive in dealing with terrorist threats but should also dial back the use of disproportional force in favour of arresting and questioning terror suspects when it is possible. A lot could be learned and more could be gained from showing these attackers for the misguided fools they are, through public trials and long penal sentences. Kill them and they become a popular martyr to a poisonous cause. Arrest, try and jail them and they become pathetic losers and just possibly, if they can be turned, resources in the fight against terrorism.

Cheers.

Are you familiar with the Toronto 18
A Muslim is the one who broke this wide open.
And while he has received threats lives openly.

Ask the guy arrested.

Oh, no opinionated indictment this time? No browbeating Canada for her sins that created the terrorists?

He was also never President of France. Try again.

Trump is President now. I guess he isn't doing his job keeping Canada and France safe.

It isn't his job to keep any country but the U.S. safe. Try again.

Oh, no opinionated indictment this time? No browbeating Canada for her sins that created the terrorists?

Proof of that pls. Mindless allegations are quite common when these attacks occur, regardless of where.

My thoughts go out to the victims, I have very close friends in Edmonton. Instead of politicizing everything about "Muslims" why not deal with the fact that people were hurt and investigations are pending. Maybe let's wait and get evidence before formulating an action plan to prevent this from happening again (well, letting he Canadians do that).

So, it isn't about Canada creating the terrorists?

Nope, Canada has not perfect and has its own sins, but frankly ISIS psychopaths attack anyone different from them, so frankly there is no point trying to rationalize their motives.
