Negative reaction to protests leads Ravens' anthem singer to resign

My guess is that this will go down as far as % effect goes similar to the % of rabid Trump supporter who burned their MAGA bras, err hats when he made a deal with the dems. Could be wrong...

I've been watching football basketball and baseball (especially) players do Christian gestures during games as long as I can remember. Never bothered me. Muslims wouldn't bother me either, even though I personally think all of these outside issues/displays should be aired elsewhere.

For your amusement - 2 football players that don't have jobs they might have (despite their mediocrity) if they hadn't made themselves social lightening rods:

2) Tebow

I agree. I kinda thought about Tbow, but for some reason it didn't bother me as much as Koepernik. But on reflection I don't see much difference.

The issue you bring up, Trump going across the aisle to negotiate deals, is something that both sides claim is needed, yet when it happens both sides are unhappy. Like Obama repeal, it's an issue when it won't happen, but a problem when it does.

Tebow only bothered me because 1) during college when he got post game interviews, he wouldn't talk about the game - only God. I wanted to hear his take on the game.

Then, when he was trying to go into the pros (2) I started seeing the army of trolls that would spam EVERY story about him in the comments, blaming his lack of success on his Christianity. That bothered me, and in no small part because I think those trolls are the distraction that results in him not landing his dream job. I personally think Tebow is a great human being. Not a great football player, but a welcome addition to this planet none the less.

CK I know really nothing about on a personal level. Can't say I care, either.

I think it's hilarious that you guys are such beta males that you let a bunch of kneeling minorities steal your favorite sport from you.

They didn't steal my sport. I choose not to spend my money with someone or some corporation that doesn't want o provide me with what I'm willing to spend time and money on. No different than choosing one grocery store over another.

Really? So how did the gameplay of football change in the NFL because of this kneeling pre-game? Yes, you let a bunch of minorities take your game from you because you're a beta male.

For somebody who knows nothing about me, you seem to know a lo about me. I don't care much for football before or after. What I do know is that I've no desire to pay entertainers who are no longer entertaining.

Really? When did they stop playing football? You're acting like kneeling before the game has any effect on gameplay, which it doesn't. You don't care for football before or after, so your opinion is rather pointless.
 
Good grief. These people who are complaining about players protesting by taking a knee are the same ones who supported the Bundy's armed takeover protest in Oregon.

It's pointless in the discussion of how the NFL should react. The kneeling doesn't have one single ounce of an effect on people that watch every football game, so for someone who doesn't even watch football it has even less of an effect on your life. I just think it's ****ing hilarious that these whiners are pretending that a few minorities kneeling before gameplay starts has totally ruined the sport for them.

I don't know maybe. I just think the right's sudden desire to see the NFL collapse is so strong that we're getting every little thing as like "See, it's collapsing." it's both hilarious and disturbing that all it took was for Trump to say something for you all to suddenly hate football.

No one is hoping for a collapse, they are hoping Goodell (that limp noodle) will enforce the rules, and that these clowns will seek a more productive venue to bitch about something that's a teensy part of their problems.

Not from what I'm seeing. A lot from the right about how the NFL will go under because of this.
